Maybe it's just me, but I got the feeling listening to this song that he's not talking about a girl. I think the whole modern love thing eludes to a gay relationship. Modern between two guys/girls as opposed to traditional between just a guy and a girl. It's not like Kele has never written a song about a relationship two guys, take a look at I Still Remember. Especially now that A Weekend In The City is out, this song has sort of taken on a different meaning for me. I don't know if anyone else ever brought this up, I was too lazy to read all the comments. Great Song either way. |

it sounds like it's a break up .. but i dont' think it's between him and a girl .. it sounds like it's between his parents .. like his mom or dad walked out on them .. that's just what i got out of it |
