Armand Van Helden – MyMyMy Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I love this song. It's so simple yet so brilliant. It's a real summer track. |
McFly – She Falls Asleep, Pt. 2 Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I am not a McFly fan. But unlike many others who like similar music to me, I decide to lookpast their boyish looks, media attention and general teenage popularity when it comes to judging their songs. And I have to say that this is by far their best song to date. And I mean by far. This song excels anything I could expect from them. The instrumentals are great, the singing is great and the lyrics are great. The McFly have made an almost perfect song and they deserve alot of credit for it. Yet we know that will not be the case don't we? Fair enough, some people may not like this song. But what are the odds there will be some more anti-McFly comments (hello Atreyurdabest) from closed-minded individuals who find it far too uncool to like anything McFly and inflict their music snobbery at every opportunity. McFly are far from being m favourite band, but this song is a touch of class. |
Aphex Twin – Come to Daddy Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I havn't heard anything before about this being a parody of Prodigy but it sees like it could be true. "I want you soul" in this song is very similar to "Come play my game" in Breathe by Prodigy. |
Arctic Monkeys – From the Ritz to the Rubble Lyrics | 18 years ago |
It's about a night out. The first half is about Hitler-esque bouncers who let their "power" go their head. The second half is about getting drunk and remembering what you did in the morning. |
Arcade Fire – Neighborhood #2 (Laika) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I think this song is about drug troubles and rehab. |
Fightstar – Palahniuk's Laughter Lyrics | 19 years ago |
When Busted were formed the rock/pop market was huge and he mad alot of money from it. Tell me a 17 year old who would turn that down? Now he's doing something he enjoys and the outcome is pretty good. He's always going to get criticism from people who hate Busted. I wish he wouldn't, this song is the type he's always wanted to do and it's very good and he deserves alot of credit for it. |
Kelis – Milkshake Lyrics | 19 years ago |
It's about boobies. What would bring men to her yard? - BOOBIES What does milk come from? - BOOBIES |
Snow Patrol – Grazed Knees Lyrics | 19 years ago |
^^^^The song you're after is Run. It's one of the best songs on the album but not the best. Buy the album and you won't be disappointed. P.S I agree with you all on the meaning. |
Oasis – Stop Crying Your Heart Out Lyrics | 19 years ago |
This is my favourite song ever by any band. |
Franz Ferdinand – Michael Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Didn't any of you watch them when they were interviewed by Frank Skinner? (A comedian/interviewer from West Bromich, England for those who don't know who he is) Their friend called Michael who is straight/heterosexual has a homosexual one night stand. So they said to Michael that they were playing a song dedicated to him at the next gig. And they did and this was it. I personally think this is one of the poorer songs on the album. |
Snow Patrol – Gleaming Auction Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I think this song is about how stubbornness and arguements can cause a relationship to die. "I'll get tired of the heart attacks Every time it rings." To me the heart attack is referring to the pain and fear of the "ring" which is a phone call as it's going to lead to a row. "I'll put myself on the waiting list And get it all cleared up" I think this refers to the positive effect a break can have on a relationship. The first verse seems to be using hospitals as a way of describing relationships. Maybe because our life starts in a hospital, we go there when we have health problems and often die there. I think Snow Patrol have used this to link to the start, the problems with and the end of a relationship. "You're the one with the attitude Don't try and make me out To be the root of the evil in The whole rotten affair" I think these lyrics refer to the stubbornness of his ex-partner and the "rotten affair" refers to how the relationship turned sour. "Lie back and suffer now We've both earned our reward " This is satirical as it's basically saying "Look what we've done, it's not we wanted but it's our fault." ----- "Buried deep in the telegram I'm sure I never got Was any clue of the whereabouts Of all the things I'd lost" A telegram is a way of sending of a message. I think this refers to the lack of communication in the relationship. "Just because you were right before Doesn't mean you're right To make up now would just vindicate Every doubt I had" Stubbornness again. It's not as simple as How much you think you care You would never know When to take the hint Broken glass aside My feelings stay the same Covered head to toe In blood and fear and spite And this refers to the bad feeling at the end of the relationship. Broken glass makes me think of destruction. Once it's been destroyed he's still in spite. As with most of Snow Patrol lyrics you can take these in a number of ways. The above is just what I think. It would be nice to see other people's opinions on the song. |
