I think that he is so in love with the person that he doesnt want her to feel any more pain. hes taking all the evil from her life even if it means destoying himself because shes more important to him than he is to himself. when he was saying the wrapping in silver i thought he meant just to make her stronger since silver is a metal and cold preserves so i though he as trying to freeze her or preserve her beauty and greatness. and he is protecting this girl he loves... probably wrong. |

I can only explain this song through my experience. Well there was a time wheni liked someone. and everytime i saw this person i had a complete feelign of happiness. and i smiled. but whenever this person was near me i couldnt explain my feelings. i couldnt speak to them about how i felt. and my heart sank because i just couldnt find the strength to say what i was feeling and this person would walk away and not even notice... |

What Merlyn said about the drug made me think... Maybe this songs talking about looking for that quick release that easy way out and after you find it you still get consumed by what you were running from because there simply is no way out.... life is just going to pull you into it deeper.... maybe depression and drugs for it. Even though you take the depression drugs they work for a while until the effects wear off and you realize your just going to get consumed by the sadness... |

" Because how much i have changed since middle school and now in the 10th grade im realising its okay to be me and i shouldnt care what ppl think... alot of Sarah McLachlans' music has this way of totally engulfing me and i can feel what she says and i understand what shes going through even if it hasnt happened to me |
