Theory of a Deadman – No Surprise Lyrics

I can't stand these guys, even though I'm Canadian and so are they, but I love this song. It is just filled with so much emotion and is so simple in it's meaning that everyone can relate to it. They have a new sound with this album and it works. |

This is obviously about their hometown of Winnipeg and coming back to it after being away.
Seeing old friends and reminicing. The town is as it always is, it doesn't change. Thye miss the town, but are glad they are gone. A nice song. |

Izzy Stradlin – Ain't it a Bitch Lyrics

A guy is fed up with his woman in the fisrt verse and blames himself. The second verse he seems to have put the blame on her and continues to blame her throughout the song. Another good song by Izzy. |

Izzy Stradlin – Shuffle It All Lyrics
|
It's about changing your life and moving on. Probably written in reflection after he left G n R.. The first verse is about a woman who is bored with her life in New York and just up and drives out of town and ends up in LA. The second verse is about a guy who is also bored with is life. Just sitting around listening to old records smoking up. His dog is sleeping and his woman is playing Nintendo...Dr. Mario...weird game to refer too but anyway...goes to sleep, alone again. The third verse again is just about the journy to starting over....although the reference to Dr. Doolittle is a mystery to me. The chorus "Shuffle it all" is quite literal, about shuffling up your life. Love the song. Izzy rules! |

Guns N' Roses – Since I Dont Have You Lyrics

I was actually very impressed by G n' R with this song. They did a great job, s mentioned above, to sticking to the doo wop roots, but still making it rock. It really sucks Axl's head grew and he thought he was God, because they were a hell of a band. |

A song about cutting a chick down. She treated him like shit, so he is showing her up now.
Izzy was a great writer for G'N'R...his solo stuff is pretty good too...not on this site though |

Good Charlotte – The Anthem Lyrics

I am really not a fan of these guys or Simple Plan, etc. It isn't very good in my opinion, but they make music that obviously some people want to hear, wether they think they can relate to the songs or just like the sound of them. Judas Priest was my escape years ago. I bet most of the fans of Good Charolette haven't even heard of them (do yourself a favour and download some of their songs, Parental Guidance, Exciter, The Ripper to name a few). But to put down people for the music they like is kind of childish. Put down the music if you like, but leave the fans alone. And to those who get offended and lash out at those people who don't share the same music taste as you, get a thicker skin...it's just music.. I listen to mostly Canadian music, stuff that I am sure many Americans would laugh at...but who cares (do yourself another favour and download some Tragicaly Hip, Rhymes With Orange, Treble Charger, The Salads, Headstones, Finger 11, Miller Stain Limit, The Watchmen, Sam Roberts...but no Avril or Celine Dion okay...we appologize for them...we really do...lol). It's what I like. and I am sure there are people laughing at some of those bands I wrote down. |

Great song about Jack the Ripper. Priest ruled the heavy metal scene for such a long time. Great band...music still rocks today. |

Great song. This is much better than any of the so-called "Teen Angst" songs of today. Just the real issues of the day...loud music. being lazy, etc. Very underated songwritters. |

Great song by one of my all time favorite bands. I think it's about someone dying and the other person is depressed because they finally found someone to love and that loves them back. A very underatted group with their song writting abilities. |

buffstuff34...I also aggree with most of what you wrote...except for the line "i've journeyed here and there and back again-JESUS HAS BEEN TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH A MILLION TIMES"
I believe it means he was here, rose to heaven ,then came back to earth again when he appeared to his diciples...just my thought anyway |

Great song...although the ending could have been missing and the song wouldn't have missed anything. A great song for me to relate to "Remember in this game we call life
that no one said it's fair " is one of my favorite song verses of all time |

When I hear it...I just stop what I'm doing. It is a great song that didn't get much airplay...in Canada anyway. It's just about someone who is really unsure where his life is going and if person he is with wants to be with him or not. |
