Well said, Major Valor! I've just recently experienced it. I went to an old folks' home about a week ago, with a small group of youngsters. There, we met some of the residents who are not so healthy either mentally or physically. What I'm tryin to say is while I was there, I came across a tiny woman. Becoz of my incapability of tryin to strike a conversation with her , I was almost immediately reminded of this song. She couldn't understand me, neither could I understand her. But language wasn't all that, I then realised when she cupped my face. "I'm wanting contact with you Shake those hands, shake those hands Give me the thing I understand" The only we understood each other was the smilelines in each other's faces. |

tis song (the music vid) actually introduces me jeff buckley, the 1st time i heard his voice, man i was completely.... stunned! i never knew any man could sing like that..so emotionallyyyy.. n there is sth about his look too (in the vid, i mean) that gotten me all so curious about tis guy. so sad when i found out next day that he was dead like 7 yrs ago. i honestly tot he was a new singer. tis song makes me cry too.. actually it's his voice tat's making my feelings going wayward. the meaning of tis song is really quite obvious.. but unless u feel like the way he did only then u could sing like him. man, i really need to buy grace:legacy edition for my own b-day present..!! |
