oh i love this. To me, this particular line is about coming to a point in your life where youre so emotionally flat lined, that you get confused at the things you ARE able to cry about. Abstract things; maybe color combinations that strike up emotions. Non abstract; a broken clause in a contract-- something that makes sense. |

It seems odd to me how little comments this song has gotten.
I read on a blog somewhere how the writer saw joanna at a party, and went to talk to her. All he said was "Youre joanna newsom... i love you." And then he left the party to go home.
I didint really understand how anybody could do that at the time. After Emily though... i would have done the same thing. And give me the situation, i will do the same thing. |

OrcishIncubus, that thought about xbox live crossed my mind too. But i dont see how the song couldn't be about halo, or written with halo in mind. I mean, it has the halo theme at the begining of it, and plus...it sort of gives off the whole halo vibe throughout the song, for some odd reason... |
