Well as of September 14th, this is taken directly from the official Megadeth site:
Megadeth’s song "A Tout Le Monde" has been referenced in some news stories regarding the recent shooting in Montreal, Canada, and Dave Mustaine wanted to set the record straight about the origins of the song.
Please see his statement below dated Sept 14:
"Like everyone else, I am horrified and disgusted by the tragic events of yesterday. We will pray for everyone who has been hurt, and all the families that are suffering," says Dave Mustaine of Megadeth. Referring to the song:
"A Tout Le Monde," Mustaine says, "It’s based on a dream I had, where my mother came back from heaven to say ‘I love you.’ It’s about me talking to her again."

Actually, the song is not a suicide note. For those of you who have Arsenal of Megadeth, before A Tout Le Monde there is an interview of Dave Mustaine. And here is what he says (yes I was sad enough to transcribe it :P)
Dave Mustaine: "It's not a suicide song. What it is, it's, you, it's when people have a loved one that dies and they end on a bad note, you know, they wish that they could say something to them. So this is an opportunity for the deceased to say something before they go. And it was my impression of what I would like to say to people, if I had say, 3 seconds to do so in life before I died I'd say to the entire world, to all my friends, I love you all, and now I must go. These are the last words I'll ever speak, and they'll set me free. I don't need to say I'm sorry, I don't have to say I'm going to miss you, or I'll wait for ya. You know, I'll just say I loved you all, good, bad and different, I loved you all." |

It's gr8 lol, I think its bascially meant 2 mean is like slacking, but he's saying slang, cuz slang is obviously a shortened version of saying something, or a nickname. So by him saying "slang with me" he's saying act lazy with me, we don't need to do these things, we can relax back together. It's a wicked song |

At first I didn't but it grows on ya, I think its obviously about a girl, and Joe is singing that he wants her 2 with him, like "yes, are you getting it?" he's asking her, do you get it I want you? And hes going on about how much he wants her lovin' cuz she should b his. |

Well since I posted it I might as well make the first comment. This is a cover and was previously unreleased, it came on on the best of that was released this year. I can't memba then name of the original band who made this song but I beleive Def Lep do a gr8 cover of it. I think the songs about how a guy is stuck at home, and wants to get out, but can't because of this sunset that's keeping him in, he is happy as long as their is the sunset, so doesn't need anything else, not a women, or friends, the sunset is is happiness. |

It's funny you should say that Jason, cuz in the new Def Leppard album, Joe comments on mariah doing it that "Mariah Carey has also covered it... and about bloody time! It took 21 years for someone to do a proper cover of one of our songs. Apparently she was listening to "Vault" when she decided to go back into the studio and add it to her own already finished album. Because 'Bringin' on the Heartbreak' is the final track it suggests she listened right through to the end. That makes it hard to not say. Man first to comment again, people just don't know good music these days. Neway this song is, according to Joe Elliot (lead singer) "Not us being macho - us trying to be funny - again! Think we'd better stop trying..." This is a great song, real funyn if you listen to it, basically I think its about how you gotta try and make love like a man, hard and proper lol in order to satisfy your lady, and as they say here, don't call them gigolo's, or Cassanova's, call them if you want to have a good time, I think Joe's comments fit it perfectly tho. |

No way I'm the first to comment on this song? Wicked. This is a great song, with Rick Allen's randomness at the beginning, which makes it different. I think this song's meaning is that Def Leppard are gonna keep "rocking thru the ages" so to speak, not stopping, and as the times move on Rock is gonna heat up, hence the burning, dynamite, pyromania (link to their album) references. It also talks about how Rock is guna crush ne and all opposition. |

Ok man you guys are mixing your facts up. Firstly the Young brothers and the l8 Bon Scott (R.I.P) were born in Scotland but moved to Australia when they were 3 and so could be called honorary Australians. About Bon's death, he did die in his car yes, it was after a drunken late night, his m8 didn't wana leave him at the pub so took him home, couldn't take him out of the car (too heavy) so he left him there, problem was that Bon's head twisted and so when he vomited in his sleep, like you say he choked on it. The hypothermia might of played a part because it was an extremely cold night but yea. And of course this is a tribute to him, the entire album was a tribute to Bon (hence the entire black cover) and in my opinion one of the greatest albums of all time. |

This song is what got me into heavy metal. I love it, easily their best work, simple yet effective riff and killer lyrics. I actually thort it was about how we're all sinners and on our own "highway to hell" but guess ur right, it makes sense if its about them in America, tho I wuld incline to go with in the UK, I mean they went during the punk takeover and got slammed by everyone, it was actually in the US that they got the most praise but yea, all I can say is that this is a legend :) |
