this song is also about dealing with his faults and sins. He feels guilty and coping with them is making him stay up, he cannot sleep. He can't shake the feeling of guilt because he has swallowed his wrongs and kept them to himself and admits he will never get anything right. I know any one who has done something bad Takes apart their head wrestling with the issue and try to take down the demon in their heads. |

OK u guys are all saying some really good stuf. I agree with most of it. For me, this song blew me away completely, it hit the nail on the head. Ill just list the changes ive gone thru in the months after buying this cd. - I know know that even incredible musicians face the same issues i do. -I quit writing songs b/c i can never be a fraction as good as this -i have drifted farther away from christianity -i have drank more -i have been arrested -i have gotten the worst grades of my life -i do not seem to get myself to care about all of those things... hmm, so nothing good has come of this. FUCK. now im depressed. ne one have ne suggestions? |

Wow, heard it on the way home from basketball practice and it describes my situation Obviously this song is just another radio hit that most likely wont have a lasting effect. However, this song touches me because I am a senior in highschool and it seems like im getting hassled for everything. The singer is saying that he wants to be saved but he doesnt want to change who he is. I want to be helped out in this point in my life too, but i do not want to be changed into somebody im not, so it seems like everythings my fault. The verses of the song talk about specific events when he is failing and the chorus complements it nicely. Im new to "Unwritten Law" but i will prolly pick up the CD. |
