This is one of my favorite songs of the album, but that aside, i don't think its about them and "fame."
Sure, that's part of it, but I think it also has to do with how much trouble buddy had with being happy with the lyrics he wrote. I read an article about how buddy went into hibernation for a little while and he got really upset and started hating all the lyrics he wrote.
Also, its probably about how they want to be famous, but not be "mtv" famous. They want to be known, but they don't want all the fucking posers all over them "like OMG!!! I love this song!!! And I wanna be just like them!!!" like some avril lavigne knock off. |

I love this is song, but i'm not sure what it's about though. I think its about a guy who's in love with a girl (maybe a best friend of some sort), but either she doesn't love him back or she's got so much pain in her life that he doesn't know how to help her exactly. Yeah, I'm prolly not making much sense...

First off, this song is awesome, but the music video if anybody has watched it, it's really similar to the movie Waking Life.
If anybody has seen it, the animation is the same and the whole dream-like reality is exactly like the movie. Also, at the end of the movie, much liek the end of the music video, the guys trys to open his car door, but can't and floats off into the sky.
Waking Life is a very philosophical movie about thinking ur awake and how ur still dreaming. Just, if you watch it you'll see what I'm talking about how the music video is alot like it. |

I like POD and all, even though i'm not religous, but I really don't think they should have this song out. Alo of radio stations won't play it b/c its so controversial. Sure, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but there are reasons why people get abortions. Sure, abortions shouldn't be used as a form of birth control, but there are other reasons why people get abortions.
If you were raped, would you want to keep the child inside of you. Or, if you're too young or you know you cannot care for that child. Also, what if you knew that the child would be mentally handicapped or that there would most definetly be complications during birht. THings happen, if god is so high and mighty upon the fact that abortion is murder, then why does he allow people to do it. Why does he allow people to murder others. Hell, why did he even give us free will if he even gave us anything. We're on our own people. Get over it. Grow up too |

I'm glad they're finally getting some more national coverage.... to me they're the best local band here in south florida, but I hope they get better in other areas of hte country. I actually do really like Hawthorne Heigts. I think they're fucking awesome. The whole scream-emo-kinda poppy-punk thing is kinda surfacing now. Like TBS, MCR, Senses Fail, and SOTY to some degree. Whether you're ranting or applauding, at least they're getting some feedback. |
