I have to be honest, I had never heard of this song prior to 2005. When I heard it for the first time I was hooked. It's a marvelous song with a beautiful melody.
Tony...what a great story. To find a song that so closely coincides with your life is amazing. |

I'm glad to see johnpauljones86 compare this somewhat to Zeppelin and their Over the Hills and Far Away. I've thought the very same thing for many years now.
And I agree that this album is highly underrated. |

I'm somewhat suprised that nobody has yet to comment on this very underrated Rush song.
Obviously this song is geared towards bashing corporate america and those that run fortune 500 type companies that bulldoze their way through anyone that gets in their way.
The video for this song dates itself to be sure, but Peart is outstanding in it. |

It's interesting for me to read how the High School age interpret this song. Being a fan of Rush since the beginning, it's good to get a different perspective on Rush and their lyrics. |

If anyone ever gets the opportunity to see this song played on the DVD "Exit Stage Left", do it...it's fabulous. |

Rush – Working Man Lyrics

Working Man is a good song but it's obvious how Neil Peart changed the bands direction when he joined the band on their next album. He wrote the majority of Rush's lyrics and they became much more complex. |
