Well, I can see why the song was put here, but there are a LOT of Grey Daze lyrics I would like to discuss. It would make more sense if Grey Daze lyrics were put in a different section.....
BUT I do love these lyrics to death. This is probably my favorite Grey Daze song,...well maybe. I love how it says "Life is too short to be intoxicated" I have a friend who is never happy unless she is completely wasted, and because she is so addicted to all this crap, she can't have fun. That's how I relate to this song. |

I love this song so much. When Bert screams it seems to reverberate through my body, he seems so tortured.
This song makes me think of two different situatuions (depends of what mood I'm in)
(1) Someone just lost their lover. They are walking through the house they shared with that lover reminiscing about all the times they shared.
(2) Someone lonely who is always picked on and never paid attention to looking at all the couples, and feeling they are wasting their time, because love isn't real, or something to that matter. |

I relate to this song because it makes me think of someone I want to be closer to, but I don't really know them. For me it means that you want to get to know someone, but you also want to know if they are going to open up or not. If they aren't, then you just don't even want to start a relationship, because you know it will be ruined sooner or later. |

Well, I don't think it is meant in a gay way. If you read the "Thank-Yous" Bert mentions Kate (his late ex) and says that all of the songs were written for her. Also, guys can do a chick up the ass just as easily as they can a male. (Because I do think it means that)
But besides that, this song is just so extremely emotional! I love it. For some reason (and this is only my opinion) I think it means being with someone, but feeling abusive and angry. Like.......you want to punish them because they are driving you crazy. You want to make love to them and hurt them at the same time. |
