Ben Gibbard – You Remind Me of Home Lyrics | 18 years ago |
it doesn't have to be about a girl just because he says, "you" maybe it's a guy friend of his, or a family member. who knows? it doesn't matter. see it as what it is; a great song |

Death Cab for Cutie – Gridlock Caravans Lyrics | 18 years ago |
every effing song ever written, someone has to point it towards a couple. get over your god damn ex and move on. there's more to life than relationships. accept the song for what it is: short and sweet eucil: "I don't really see why mentioning the word "heart" has to indicate love." i second that. when your girlfriend stabs your heart with a sharp object, you die. when your girlfriend breaks up with you, it effects your emotons; you live. stfu already. listen to some fall out boy if you want that shit. gun left behind: "One of Death Cab's best, for sure." at least 80% of death cab's songs could be considered 'best', because they're all written and strung together so perfectly. applaud ben gibbard, and listen to some of the other 100+ songs he's written and sang. you'll see that there is no best, because most of them make you feel so good. also, "This song is probably about love, since he talks about his heart" SERIOUSLY. wow. um. let's see. my heart. it's HUMONGOUS. woah, it must mean i'm in love. it's filled with love. seriously. wow. just wow. toadtws: " This song is about a relationship that's falling apart. And it's beautiful. I wonder why they left this off of The Photo Album?" because of dumbasses like you. "this song is about a relationship that's falling apart." what the hell, man? honestly. new found glory must be your favorite band. music would be a better thing without dumbasses like you listening to it. strykerchick: "I hadn't thought of a relationship falling apart. The line "You try to ask how they've been, but the metal and glass is too thick." Made me think the song is about visiting someone in jail. This is definitely an awesome song." wow. have you ever yelled after someone in a car (made of metal and glass shell) and they couldn't hear you? i guess your dad was in jail when you were a baby, if that's all you can relate to. go back to your room and listen to some linkin park. you're digging too deep into interpreting this song. maybe you should put some of that digging into your wrist. maybe with a razor? |
Death Cab for Cutie – Brothers on a Hotel Bed Lyrics | 18 years ago |
i disagree with anyone saying this song is based on a relationship. it's about growing up. (this was my own opinon before i read any of the comments) whose parents don't sleep on opposite sides of the bed? parents are old; they had you. people grow up fast, and they don't realize it until they already lost their youth. when they grow up, they're totally different people than when they were younger. if a 50+ year old man were to stand beside a mirror image of himself as a child, they would be barely discernable to one another. can this song really be about anything other than aging? maybe. ask mr. walla. maybe ben gibbard knows? i haven't really said anything that hasn't been said already. kudos to shelovesbrandnew: best interpretation. |
All-Time Quarterback – Why I Cry Lyrics | 18 years ago |
i've heard over 100 of this man's songs, and i'm in love with him.. but i didn't even realize it was his voice 'til i read about it. this guy has some talent. |
Jimmy Eat World – For Me This Is Heaven Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I haven't read all the comments, but the ones I have are all saying it's about a break up. Come on. This can relate to friends easier than a "break up". "when the time we have now ends. when the big hand goes round again. can you still feel the butterflies? can you still hear the last goodnight?" "If I don't let myself be happy now then when? If not now when? " It sounds more like friendship falling apart because they're going on with life, they have lives.. that go separate directions and they lose all the time they used to have for each other. Just because your girlfriend dumped you, don't go making every song you hear about a relationship. |

hey, David.. you are a freaking idiot. you make fun of all these "so called less than jake fans" for not commenting on this great song in less than a day after the lyrics were posted. "P.S can someone else please agree with me" why would somebody want to look like an idiot with you? kill yourself. |
Stars – One More Night Lyrics | 19 years ago |
rape? |
Stars – Celebration Guns Lyrics | 19 years ago |
wow, you people amaze me. of course, most comments on "your ex-lover is dead" and "elevator love letter". why? because you morons think you're cool commenting on "love" songs. now, elevator love letter, sure. you can call that a love song. but your ex-lover is dead? fools. and this being their best song, or one of the best.. no comments. this song has the most story behind it. amy millan won't sing it live 'cause it makes her cry. so, it's yet to be played live. they sing "he lied about death" in its place. kehe. um. yeah. so.. it's about guantanamo bay. two words explain it all. |
Looper – Money Hair Lyrics | 19 years ago |

The Postal Service – We Will Become Silhouettes Lyrics | 19 years ago |
forensics, get the facts straight before you post. how stupid can you get? : "i like the orginal by the shins better. but this is a good cover it. it's more "bouncy." seriously. don't post if you have no clue what you're talking about. ben gibbard (the lead singer of the postal service, if i must say) wrote it and sang it. just like every other song on the album. the ORIGINAL by the shins? no. sorry. the shins sang the cover. it did not originate from them. get it straight and lay off the cocaine. more bouncy? lol. wow. stupid people make me angry. |

Tilly and the Wall – Reckless Lyrics | 19 years ago |
wow. this song is amazing. "Oh reckless, a boy wonder, so quiet, nose broken Oh, you're standing there, look tired as you're singing And you're on fire, they're throwing punches So backwards, the landscape you thought you knew, it starts unwinding Now you're jumping through their hoops You're just trying to dodge all their questions They're shooting bullets" that is my favorite part of the song.. the way it goes.. the way the words fit together. it makes me smile. :) |
