This song has the strongest message ever. It has that head-up, chin-up, finger-up message. Doesnt matter if its good enough for someone else. Actually what line of the song doesnt hav an important message. This song should hav been created at the beginning of time... its message is so perfect... and i think everyone can benefit from it! If u wanna get pumped before a BIG day, put this on while u get ready! I should hav a seperate CD with this on it so every morning i get up i truely get UP! If i had a favourite quote it would be this entire song!! Every line is perfect! LOVE IT Hate to analyz too much but the music arangement itself just makes u happy. hmm anyway i was listening to this song just then and realised if u disregarded the lyrics to it, this song makes a wikid slow sex song! anyone else agree wid me????? Anyway when thinking abou these lyrics i got a strange thort that it could be that a girl is trying to break up with a guy... but the guy loves her too much to give up on her. She thinks that there is too much hate in the reltionship, but the guy is saying "just cause YOU feel it, doesn't mean it's there" When he says Feel it! maybe he wants the chick to feel the love rather then hate.. hmm.. i just got a thort.. maybe its around a time that they are planning to marry.. "we are accidents waiting to happen" therfore the chick doesn't want to marry him anymore... I really truely think this is masterpiece of music... one of radioheads best.. if not THE best. I can totally understand how they couldn't play it live for a while, it's so.. difficult. Just listen to the guitar the whole way through... its amazing. Anyway i think that this song could possibly be about how someone has gone throught their whole life as a disapointment to their parents and others. But they have no where to go so they hang around disappointing people, and people always put them down for being so useless, when truely they haven't done anything wrong. That feeling that you have to be accepted to make it in the world.. to live. But be accepted should be the reason to living, thats not what its about. This feeling is driving the person into hysterics, and all they want to do is grow wings and fly away, so that they arn't a let down anymore. i also think that it shows how all people live life doing the same thing everyday, going to work, coming home... a continuous cycle. People not truely LIVING! Isn't this really the disappointment? the let down!? |

I do agree with the whole idea of it being about a institution, it does make sense... ALOT of sense! But i also think that i could be about a man who abuses someone close to him. Like the man of the house, I am the key to the lock in your house ...
