This song is about a piano the band found that was just being thrown away outside of their practice space in Brooklyn. An artistic rendering of it is on the cover of their January EP. The Piano was basically already destroyed and would break if it was properly tuned because it was in that bad of shape, but apparently really helped in the writing of their songs for their EP a month project in 2006. |

It makes perfect sense. It's about that last year of childhood, 17. When you want to break free but your still tied down. It's an amazing recount of his personal life that anybody can relate to. Unless your not 17 yet, then you wouldn't get it. Its just amazing. |

wow, this site may be all about your own interpretation, but yes I while you took the most literal possible interpretation, I actually went searching for a meaning. White BTW is actually every color, Black being the absense of color, just the way light works. Check out a 7th grade science text book, might also want to check out the meaning of metaphor, and poetry. |

Well the story behind UG is an obsessed fan broke backstage and befriended Brock. Edgar Gomez, or something like that. He was apparently a very strange song writer and after a few performances Brock wanted him to record, He then disppeared, and brock put together UG to record his stuff.
That is more than likely a bunch of bullshit, that was made up. The more likely story is Brock wanted a side project, got really drunk in Chicago when his drugs of choice were seen as uncool in Chicago. so he drank instead. These lyrics do really seem like the result of a manic depressive drinking to a stupor.
Which is true? I don't know, I doubt Edgar Gomez wrote this stuff, performed it and didn't want to record it or ever seen Brock again. Anyway, Incredible Song. |

Lightblueness... clean period. Clean is not drinking yourself into a stupor. He may have stopped doing drugs for it, and maybe completely now, but I've never read anywhere that he wasn't drunk when writing this album. |

The idea of the deranged fan, is more than likely a farce. Edgar Graham is the supposed fan who nicknamed himself ugly casanova. Of course another version of this is that Isaac Brock was in Chicago, his drug of choice was considered uncool at hte time, and unattainable, so he got piss ass drunk and wrote the lyrics to this album. Either could be true, and they both could be false. The fact is we won't know until anybody from Ugly Casanova actually says so. |
