Pink Floyd – Arnold Layne Lyrics

@[jorlitta:26358] Wow, what a blast from the past. This comment is almost a decade and a half old. You're right. The drug use wasn't the only reason that Syd was unstable (though likely had the most impact on stage performance imho). It was speculated that he was schizophrenic. David knew Syd before joining the band, but Nick Mason was the one who approached him about joining to perform in place of Syd. |

I suggest you all stop flaming craigus, not only is there a good chance he left, you sound like morons yourself arguing with an inanimate account. Honestly, I really don't care what anyone else thinks, as long as you can back up your statements, I have no problem, but if you dis someone or something with false facts, or stupidity, I disagree. So let it go. He has his opinion, which in fact is not a very good one, and we have ours. |

Both Syd and David were phenominal musicians. If Syd didn't do so much acid, he would have probably not been replaced. What amazes me though, is that the same band was able to find two of the best musicians you could ever hope for. |

I don't have it. If you can get it to me, I'd be glad to watch it. Otherwise, this song still confuses me... |

Pink Floyd – Don't Leave Me Now Lyrics

It ties in with "One of My Turns". The girlfriend is a bitch, she abuses Pink, and one day, he finally snaps and "attacks" her. She runs away at the end, and Pink feels sorry he did what he did. At least i think that's what this all means.. |

Pink Floyd – Another Brick in the Wall, Pt. 1 Lyrics

White magic is absolutely right. If you listen to the second CD of the wall, there's a song called "Bring The Boys Back Home". This song might be partially tied to it. I agree with Z as well with the over rating of CD 2, if you ask me, they're equal in their own rights, and might be better if listened as a whole. And when Pink says "Leaving just a memory", he obviously means that his father isn't coming back, and only leaves the memory of himself behind for his wife. |
