Brand New – Not the Sun Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Be my serene (Turn me on) Tell me you know what I mean (Lead me on) You've set on me but you are not the sun (Now that I know who I am) I'm outside (Burn it down) and put on words again**?** (Come around) You've set on me but you are not the sun |
Dashboard Confessional – The Sharp Hint Of New Tears Lyrics | 16 years ago |
i love the song, and love the band, but this has always bugged me... should be "the hint of these new tears IS sharp" but whatever |
Taking Back Sunday – Error Operator (Louder Now version) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
"we can't go back to anything anything" at the end |
Taking Back Sunday – My Blue Heaven (Demo version) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
"so what's there left to know?" not "so what's that, i left a note" |
Taking Back Sunday – Divine Intervention Lyrics | 18 years ago |
this is their weakest album. all the songs start out with good ideas, but they all lack creativity and finish. though adam's vocals are the best they've been... powerchords on an acoustic guitar....that pretty much sums up how much creativity was put into this album. |

Taking Back Sunday – Spin Lyrics | 18 years ago |
this song is gonna be so fun to mosh to at their concerts. |
Taking Back Sunday – Error Operator (Louder Now version) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
at first i thought the synthed part was stupid, but after a couple listens, it's really cool how adam's voice kinda breaks free out of the effect and into a sort of desperate scream. |
Taking Back Sunday – Error Operator (Louder Now version) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
according to the booklet, it's "this doesn't feel like anything, anything..." i can hear it better in the F4 version, but i'm pretty sure that it's in this version too. |
Taking Back Sunday – What's It Feel Like to Be a Ghost? Lyrics | 18 years ago |
some of these lyrics are wrong... "i study, we're studied" not "i start it..." "permanent reminder that, oh Christ" not "i'll crush" and yes, it's "what's it feel like to be a ghost" not "what it..." |
Taking Back Sunday – Spin Lyrics | 18 years ago |
it's definitely "open arms reject assuming hands." that is unless the lyrics in the cd booklet are wrong. |
Taking Back Sunday – Twenty-Twenty Surgery Lyrics | 18 years ago |
it's "for cheap, dollar signs doll up a picture perfect point of view" |
Taking Back Sunday – My Blue Heaven Lyrics | 18 years ago |
i already have the cd because i pre-ordered it (and it came autographed :-D). anyway, according to the lyrics in the booklet, it's "double standardized suspicion" |
Taking Back Sunday – Error Operator (Louder Now version) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
and it's "murder, oh murder, oh, where have you been?" |
Taking Back Sunday – Error Operator (Louder Now version) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
this version kicks the fantastic 4 version's ass |
Straylight Run – Another Word For Desperate Lyrics | 18 years ago |
when he says "what's another word for desperate?" john is quoting adam. he's saying that adam isn't a good lyric writer and would always ask john for help. |
Taking Back Sunday – Error Operator Lyrics | 19 years ago |
concentrate just calculate could you concentrate? just calculate won't you concentrate? just calculate don't be late just cancel it just concentrate can't be late just cancel it just cancel it could you concentrate? just calculate |
Taking Back Sunday – Error Operator Lyrics | 19 years ago |
actually, the makers of the game found that this song that they had already started working on fit well with the character already. |
Taking Back Sunday – Error Operator Lyrics | 19 years ago |
just a couple small edits on the lyrics. instead of "don't be late" i think it's "can't be late." also, before the "feels like anything anything..." i think they sing "breath, calm down" as for the meaning, this song is about some sort of inner struggle. obviously, something terrible has happened (the "accident") and the speaker feels extremely guilty and hates himself and the fact that he can't go back to fix it. the "breath in and out calm down" from the first verse connects with the "count backwards from ten," the old well-known tip for when you start to get angry or frustrated, and it all connects to "concentrate, contemplate, etc." he needs to stop and think about it instead of letting his emotions get in the way. and when he says "don't be late" and "i tried," he is once again punishing himself for not coming in time to stop the "accident" |
Taking Back Sunday – Your Own Disaster (Japan Release version) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
oh and i still think it's "lost me..." not "let's breath." even considering adam's singing style, there is a clear phoenetic difference between the sounds "ah" from lost and "eh" from let's. also, the "s" sound comes before the t, as in lost, not after, as in let's. |
Taking Back Sunday – Your Own Disaster (Japan Release version) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
you could've just downloaded it for free off the website... |
Taking Back Sunday – ...Slowdance on the Inside Lyrics | 19 years ago |
hmm, i disagree with straylight187's interpretation of the glasshouse theory. the line goes: "this glasshouse is burning down." like you said, glass can't burn. but, this glasshouse IS burning down. so the flame is so strong that it can even burn down a glasshouse. so basically, the chick he's singing about lit the match and killed the relationship. |
Taking Back Sunday – Your Own Disaster (Japan Release version) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
yea, his articulation isn't the best, but that's part of what i like about it. |
Taking Back Sunday – Your Own Disaster (Japan Release version) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
awesome |
Taking Back Sunday – Bonus Mosh Pt. II Lyrics | 19 years ago |
it's called bonus mosh because you think it's over, but the audience get's an extra chance to mosh. (read that from an article). i think it's pt. 2 to bike scene. same kind of musical structure, where it kicks in at the end again. ("you've got me right....") |
Straylight Run – Mistakes We Knew We Were Making Lyrics | 19 years ago |
"drove back home, slept a few days" does this have to do with tbs' "a decade under the influence"? "you kept still until the long drive home, and slept safe and close to the window" |
Straylight Run – Another Word For Desperate Lyrics | 19 years ago |
i love the ending. it just pops out and surprises you. wonderful. as for meaning, it has to do with tbs i think. |
Taking Back Sunday – Your Own Disaster (Japan Release version) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
doesn't it sound like "nothing is alright" in the background right before the "hey lush..." stuff begins. actually, i hear: "lost me, somehow, again" i definately hear lost me, not nothing |
