You kids who have had bad experiences with ketamine need to learn to do it in moderation and in an ideal setting (park or beach with people who are trustworthy and responsible). GHB is a more commonly used date rape drug, you're still conscious with ketamine unless you mix it with alcohol. You normally only k-hole if you do excessive quantities or if you mix it with other substances and that article that states that it is more 'dangerous' than cocaine and heroin is a load of sh*t because in terms of addiction ketamine is nowhere near coke or junk. Brian Molko uses the comparison with the drug to intensify the emotions (love) that he is trying to put forth with this song. I think it's a clever tactic because it takes the intensity to an entirely different level. |

I highly doubt this song is about being 'gay.' It really does sound like long distance love to me: "Pack up... i'm straight - i'm not" I'm straight can imply her frame of mind.. she's not thinking straight.. she thinks she's ok or 'straight' and then realizes that she's not because the distance is going to be burdensome. "Wait they don't love you like I love you" only further justifies this because she's telling her beloved that regardless of the distance nobody is going to care for him or her the way that she does. "Made off, don't stray well my kinds your kind we'll stay the same" is basically another example she uses to express her love, they're two of the same kind so she's asking her lover not to stray. Stray is a clever pun because in this case she's asking him not to stray emotionally, or physically (stray in terms of physical distance.. or leave). The rest of the song just reinstates the elements that she's been trying to put accross. |

diluted ketamine has been used as an anesthetic for small children in hospitals, it's also a popular party drug. I don't like 'promoting' drugs but if you do it in small quantities and avoid doing any other substances while you're on it, it can be an awesome experience. You'll also understand this song on a completely different level. |

This song reminds me of being in the arms of the person you love or waking up next to them. "Fall soft between the sheets" is the whole lying in bed next to them aspect and I think the melody of the song just gives you that feeling of euphoria. Gorgeous song :) |

This is the song of my life, I think we can all relate to this at one point or another. It's all about society/ the governments attempt to constrain us and prevent people with ambition from succeeding 'flying away.' The song begins with Sage listing all of the qualities this girl possesses and then he talks about how everyone tries to exploit her and prevent her from really going places. This song is intensely emotional, especially with his solution, the line "me and you are different girl, we don't even need wings to fly" |

This is the tragic boy loves girl, girl just wants to be friends story. He obviously wants something more but she wants to remain 'friends' hence the clever title 'the f word' (great pun!) This is my favorite song of all times... I think that Beth really puts her emotions on the line and exposes herself and her feelings. She peels all of her layers and leaves herself vulnerable because of the intensity of her emotions for this person hence the lines "For so bare is my heart, I can't hide And so where does my heart, belong." Her mention of words like "release," "undenied," and "bare" imply a feeling of weakness and vulnerability as a result of love and the state it's driven her to. The lines "now that i've found you and seen behind those eyes.. how can I carry on?" make my stomach sink because of the sadness in the tone of her voice. I think this song is absolutely perfect! |

Ketamine is both a cat and horse tranquilizer... the lines "I'm on sinking sand/gravity/no escaping gravity" reminds me of the effects of ketamine. You feel numb and your legs feel like they're floating so it's a very surreal experience. Those lines can apply to both love and the effects of the drug. |

This is the ultimate breakup song... The lines "don't go and lose your face at some strangers place" relates to the tendency to fall into a rebound-type situation or to just go and have a one night stand after a difficult breakup. |
