My interpretation is that a ''freeker'' is an ecstasy user and a ''tweaker'' is a meth user...everyone knows either one can dance the night away, but they also know which one is more fun to be around. i would argue that this song is not about pot, but LSD..my evidence is as follows..

LSD is very cheap for what it does, it lasts 8-12 hours while pot gets you high for a good hour or two.

Albert Hoffman discovered LSD, and was the first to ''trip''..so if the judges name was hoffman, this leads me to beleive prine is talking about LSD.

i think it is an ode to dark side of the moon or tripping in general... "trapped in time, and i dont know what to do" is a feeling most people encounter on their journeys. "these friends of mine, i see right through" is also another feeling you get when you are on a vision quest around others. you seem to see them for what they are, not just their positive traits. to chill out when you're tripping you also try to "share in the groove" that is humanity. i could be wrong, but we all see different meanings in songs. this is just my opinion. the whole reference to peace frogs and be careful with that axe eugene also make me think its an ode to tripping because we all know that the doors and pink floyd were both bands who took their fair amounts of trips. peace and light..dalt |
