Sixpence None the Richer – Love Lyrics | 17 years ago |
wow. this song is awesome. I think it means that something (or someone) must end (or die) before it can start new, and to get through that transformation, you need love. |
Sara Groves – When It Was Over Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I love these lines: "He said I always knew you loved me eventhough I'd broken your heart I always knew there'd be a place for me to make a brand new start." Sometimes it feels like God breaks my heart because I don't understand why some things happen and I am sad and I grieve and I doubt Him and question my love for Him, but as long as HE knows I still love Him... as long as HE knows there can be a new start... that, to me, is "a love that never fails". |
Sara Groves – Painting Pictures Of Egypt Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I love this song. I think it means you have to keep on moving forward, even when there's always the pull of the past. Sometimes it's so hard to let go. While the familiar says stay put and be comfortable, maybe there is a higher calling that is asking for something more. Who knows what is ahead? Maybe it won't be easy or quick, but I think it's worth a shot. |
Pink Floyd – Biding My Time Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I agree |
Ben Folds – Wandering Lyrics | 19 years ago |
"and you were ready to but never could..." oh this song is perfect... i wish i could tell him how much i care but i end up sayin see ya later instead and wandering around on my own thinking its better for both of us.. who knows. |
Pink Floyd – Another Brick in the Wall, Pt. 2 Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Nothingispermanent, I agree with you on this. I'm going to be an elementary teacher and just wanted to say that this song means a lot to me after the abuse I dealt with both in school and outside of it. I hate it when people are overlooked, ridiculed, shut down, and silenced -among other things. I never want any student (that I will have the privilege to teach) to feel this way. There is enough pain in the world as it is. |
Howie Day – Come Lay Down Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I think this song is about a girl who is afraid to trust him. Maybe she thinks he's not the right person for her, or she keeps trying to come up with reasons to stay grounded and not give in to him, while he is telling her that "it's alright" and "don't look down". But sometimes love doesn't make sense, and she has to let go of her fears and follow him because it might just be wonderful. who knows. |
A Perfect Circle – Imagine Lyrics | 19 years ago |
funny the lyrics are about living "as one" and here we are fighting about it. Just an observation. |
Damien Rice – Cold Water Lyrics | 19 years ago |
The first time I heard this was on headphones outside- cold & alone -while looking up at the stars. Wow. I would highly reccommend that. |
Damien Rice – Silent Night Lyrics | 19 years ago |
wow, I agree: chilling. |
Carolyn Dawn Johnson – Complicated Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I don't really like country too much either, but this song is SO good! Perfect for what I'm going through. Also makes me think of Howie Day's "Collide"... Maybe we aren't perfect for each other, but is anyone? |
Howie Day – Perfect Time Of Day Lyrics | 19 years ago |
While I don't think it's about suicide, because the sound of the song just doesn't seem to mesh with that, I do think it's about doing something radical, something you would only ever think about and not actually do. "While your heart is still racing" Go for it. |
The Flaming Lips – Do You Realize?? Lyrics | 19 years ago |
songmeaningsuser, I totally agree. This song goes so well with Imagine. "You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one." I think they have different meanings, but they create similar feelings for me. Like you just want to push pause on life and step back and say, wow. |
