I do think this song is about school...n popular/unpopular girls...it seems as though she was unpopular n started to hang with the popular group n they used her.
I can see where the rape part comes in, it reminds me of those werid teen movies where the popular group always have werid sex stuff that they do and the unpopular girl gets used n abused...maybe she was raped by one of the popular boys "this is not really happening"...
the thing about the cars n the woods seems really plausable too |

I hav'nt heard this cover but I have a sneaking suspicion that nothing and no-one can ever live up to the god that we call Jeff Buckley....and hobojo give props to Jeff Buckley? this song is beautiful and the film clip so so fantastic it gives me goosebumps...it reflects the song so fantastically...I think its about a boy who was neglected by his mother and becoz of it he neglected his own daughter....it ran in the family...then its also about his own daughter breaking free of that habbit...when her face is blended with her father....then she breaks free from it... its a image off her breaking free from him and its saying shes is'nt going to follow in his footsteps and she is'nt going to treat her children badly...thats what i got from the song and the filmclip |
