it's never "the end" when it comes to music. different people get different meaning from songs. it all comes down to shit you've experienced in life and how you relate. |

Dimmu Borgir – Progenies Of The Great Apocalypse Lyrics
| 17 years ago

Pagans were earth/nature worshippers. Christianity twisted it around and had them persecuted for their beliefs and because of this persecution all things related to the pagans were regarded as bad/evil. Hence why the pentagram is regarded as a symbol of Satan. |

bugmenot...you're a douchebag. there is no second coming, especially when there wasn't even a first coming. Religion only exists for the people who are afraid of life and can't make decisions on their own so they need to be told what to do and believe. |

AFI – Miss Murder Lyrics
|
It's pretty obvious what this song is about. It's about how Davey hates himself for selling out and how it contradicts who he is/was. The song is also about the hardcore fans they had before the sellout. The song is also about how the band would still be the original AFI if they hadn't sold out, and the only way to love AFI for what they were was to have killed yourself before Sing the Sorrow came out. Too late. With all that said, AFI still has great lyrical music (assuming they are still writing their own shit) and the bass line is badass. Oh and I agree with xShinx, I will be there to fuckn kill you too if you compare them to GD...which is a whole different story all together. |

Bubba Sparxxx – Ugly Lyrics

The only people who have posted and have a slight grasp on reality is Keyyooo and Come On Adi.
Everyone else is being close minded and going with stereotypes i.e "White people can't rap" etc, I've seen many white rappers destroy black rappers and vice versa. Hiphop isn't about color, it's a culture-something you live. Second hip-hop isn't meant to be "sexy", crap that is being fed to you on Mtv isn't hiphop so hate to break it to you. This album is suprisingly good, the lyrics are legit and representing the true hip hop that is missing in todays mainstream world (which honestly I don't mind, but it's nice when people show up in the mainstream then disappear again like Common, or J5, Atmosphere). To all the haters of this album all I can say is just because it is mainstream or was doesn't mean it has lost its true self. To all the others who don't know- Bubba Sparxxx is more hip-hop than 50 cent or G-Unit could ever be so wake your dumbass up and read inbetween the lines. |

The chorus of this song has been the first thing in my mind for the past 15 years everytime a reference to Australia was made. I like this song a lot. Always have. Lee Harvey is right about the meaning/translation too, except head full of zombie might mean just wasted in general off of oh I don't know...FOSTERS. =) |

Queen – '39 Lyrics

Haha, it hits you the second time eh Scimitar? =) This song is really cool. It seems the whole space thing is a bit too much, but at the same time I somewhat agree that it might be about returning home to see everyone has aged or changed but you remain the same. The songs references to coming to the new world might most likely be referring to the pilgrims when they first left England for the new world (America). The settlers did afterall leave everything behind to start a new life, and most of them were volunteers. So it could easily be referring to that. Within that there is a love story too. Great song. |

Tech isn't on the same level as others. He is above most lyrically and this song has the perfect beat - straight out of "Scarface". No one even comes close to Techs level of spittn in the mainstream (which isn't saying much), he is an underground heavy hitter. This song is sick. |

The song is called "Leaving the Past". The strongenst lyric in this song is "Hell is not a place you go, if you're not a christian
it's the failure of your lifes greatest ambition"
That shit has stuck with me for over a year now. I keep hearing it in my head. Tech owns. |

Kanye West – Diamonds from Sierra Leone Lyrics
| 19 years ago
|
The beat is pretty sick, but otherwise this song really does suck - from a meaningful point of view. If you watch the video you will think this song has some true hip hop merit but it ain't got shit. This shit is about continually exploiting Africans who do slave over their stupid ice - the video would make it seem almost the other way around as if it's anti-exploitation by the wealthy white. Now the lyrics...
"If a stripper named Porscha and u get tips from many men
Then your fat friend her nickname is minivan..."
That right there is just about the stupidest shit I've ever heard...worst lyrics ever (not including every 50 track). Now down to what little meaning it has - the song is entirely about Kanye's relationship with Roc-A-Fella and how he is still down with Dash and Jay-Z etc. That's it. Pretty powerful stuff right there huh? Another great MTV song.
What a waste of a beat and artistic video. Kanye...the "Whack" is still alive. |

Immortal Technique – The Point Of No Return Lyrics

Immortal Technique is just amazing plain and simple. I saw him at the El Rey with Xclan, and Indigenous Revolution. I talked to him, got some cd's signed etc. The guy is living and breathing his words. Time to stand up to the crap the mainstream is feeding us. With all of the shit that is in circulation out there it's good to see real Hip Hop again instead of these shiesty ass mother fuckers out there. Buy it and burn it. |
