i just got a story out of it. there is this guy looking at this family from afar and it seems that the girl is his daughter and the mother's remarried. he must have been the cause of the seperation and now he's gone straight and wants his family back. i picture this story so beautifully. a guy standing outside of this golden sand building in a golden desert town and its a sunset and Sierra is playing outside when her mother calls her in. but another feeling i had was that it was some dimented guy staring at this family and envying & desiring it. |

"kiss her hair" it's kiss her hand. and "takes an empty love to fill the void" isn't it "it's an empty love to fill the void"? this is just a take on pinnochio but its not the exact same story. it talks about how he thinks he's real and he wants to love this girl but she points out the nose and the lies and he believes he is real but when he notices it grows this time. he realizes he's not real and walks into the ocean and screams out liar liar in despair. and the whole whale swallowing him is symbolism. |

i love this song. i tried looking for some hidden meaning but all i could come up with was that it's this guy who chased this girl and that they were both poor but when he came back from the "YWCA" he was better off and he had changed. maybe it has nothing to do with money. but i love this song. |

i love this song and i also saw the sarcasm in this song. if you picture it, you either come up with two images. he's so distraut that he doesn't want to see her but he keeps asking if she's ok or you can look at it as this nervous paranoid guy who is hiding something.... atleast thats what i noticed. |
