Heres how I take it. He is far away from this girl who I’m guessing he was dating or a girl who he really loved a lot. Part of him wants to go visit her wherever she is but the other part of him doesn’t want to go because he feels like he would be getting in the way of her time with other guys and all of her one night stands. She probably drinks a lot (doing tequila shots) and I’m unsure of the reason as to why she drinks. He loves this girl and his love for her wasn’t enough…she wanted something more. The part where it says “while you’re licking salt off of each other”…since there is salt in your skin… probably means when this girl and some other guy are making out or just doing what lovers do, he is wishing and throwing salt over his shoulder. Throwing salt over your shoulder is a superstition and for good luck. He hopes she gets sores on her lips…maybe from kissing so many different guys so then it will burn when she drinks. When she wakes up tomorrow with a massive hangover, he doesn’t want her to call him. Tonight he is going to go out with his guy friends to try to get her off of his mind. I think the rest of the song is pretty self explanatory as is the whole song but people asked for interpretations so here ya go. |

Does anyone think that maybe he is saying "yesterday was hell" rather than "yesterday was over?" because i think yesterday was hell would make more sense. earlier people were talking about other people not being open minded. i think that when someone is brought up to believe in God or not believe in God, it is hard to look at it a different way because that is what you have always known. I myself believe in God and i can understand why some people don't. But there is really no point in saying God doesn't exist because it most likely won't change someones mind about it because it is just a thoughtless comment that someone left on a website. It may be what you believe but it can really offend someone when they read that. As hard as it is we should try to be more open minded about other peoples views on things whether you agree with it or not. People might not believe in God because their parents never brought up the concept of God, or maybe something really tragic happened to them to make them think otherwise. So really, they don't owe and explanation as to why they don't believe. it's their business and no one elses |

you people probably dont care what i have to say but i think this is the best song ever written. when i was little, my doctor diagnosed me with depression and i still have it today. please understand that living with depression is not easy at all. and suicide should NOT be considered the "easy way out" bcuz when someone makes the decision to kill themselves...that is the hardest decision u could ever make. i know this because of experience. the song talks about the kid who emailed blink with his suicide note and then the last part of the song talks about how things could get better. "tomorrow holds such better days." i love that part but in some cases of depression...you never get better. so i hope this shows u how depression and suicide is not something to be joked about |

i am going to do my best with my interpretation of this song..verse by verse. there are a lot of posts for this song so im sorry if mine is the same as anyone elses but i really didnt want to read through them all

-im guessing shes in england and by the title of the song i think she is there for school but while she is there she is with all these english boys. So he's telling her to tell the english boys about him(the american boy) the one she used to date. the one who would do anything that she told him to do.

the song is about Tysons(the lead singer) girl friend who cheated on him with his best friend. i'm kind of bored right now so i think im gonna try to do a full interpretation.

tyson and his girl friend are in a relationship and they are pretty much in their own world and as the time goes by the girl is keeping secrets from him. im guessing the secret is that shes cheating on him.

heres another sad song for her and she cries about it because she feels bad and now she is gone and she wishes she coud take back what she did to tyson.
