if you dont agree with me thats beautifully great, but this song means one thing to me: DRUGS this guy is aubiously halucinating... the lamp= the bong (its gets taken away, he looks) the candle= joint (is all he finds) anythings possible if your high enough... encluding, well maybe a carpet ride... weather its on the floor or not.. but ultimatly i think hes talknig about gonig on a TRIP(like, tripping out) i hope everyone knows what i mean... "Let the sound take you away" i think means they're not physically going anyway... but its easier to trip when your lisenin to music. sorry if i tainted the song for you. |

The very first opinion is amazing... thats exactly what it gives me a feeling of when i listen to that song. it looks like it took a long time to write too, man that guy is dedicated. sometimes peoples comments look so interesting i just want to e-mail them or chat or something. |

every single song theory works... you would probally even argue with the band themselfs about what it is about... i really like the drug theory the most though... because it seems when your high, anythings possible (like in a dream) and you dont need to face reality (like when your sleeping) all me, but just to add: the rythm of the war drums line reminds me of one time i was tripping out and could hear my own pulse in my ear really loud (like a drum) and it was like my thoughts were kinda againt me being high, but it was too late to undo it, and i knew it was probally bad for me... even though i love losing touch with reality. (that was a really distressing feeling) and i think the bogeyman symobloizes everyday problems, or people: which a lot of the times people get high so you can avoid them "Stay with me Safe and ignorant Just stay with me Hold you and protect you from the other ones The evil ones" *sigh*... i need a joint. |

this is a great song. saying you should just be who you are... weather your despratly trying to fit in, or being as different as possible. He's so right a lot of the time it's really easier to act like someone else instead of being yourself. but when it comes down to it, eventualy you might want to be yourself... but "Now everything’s so far away That you don’t know where you are" |

i think this song is about someone who can't get someone else out of their head and in their thoguhts they are suducing them and surrenduring their body to their sexual immagination for them to do anything they want. You can't help but take up the offer, right? Your both "surrenduring" to pleasure, one is in the immagination and one is very VERY real... i like the love idea... but this one is cool too... it's deep.
