India and Pakistan havent been fighting for hundreds of years over Kasmir since Pakistan technically came into existence only on 15 August 1947. And Kashmir is DEFINITELY in India, and I would know because I live in India. Also ever since i heard this song, i've wanted to visit kashmir thought i know that the song isnt abt the place... anyway thats not too likeliy sice theres lots of terrorism and al qaeda training camps there and civilians are getting killed everyday... so in a sense the song is true for this place too, it was once a 'shangrila beneath the summer moon' and now its 'all i see turns to brown' anyway the best song aver written by a great band and SOOOO much more worth listening to than Stairway to Heaven (which is good but not half as good as this one) Incidentally, why is the song called kasmir? |

OK ... so this is probably the worst song on an otherwise flawless album...the lyrics are so dumb thta i burst out laughing the first time i heard them..i mean...and i'm gonna tune right in on to you??? So what happened to pete townshend the great lyricist??? I dont see how the same people who sang baba o riley and wont get fooled again could possibly sing this one...but hey whos next is still one of my favourite albums ever... with all the other stuff it has, you can forgive them for this particular disaster |

What a great way to start off with one of the best albums ever released...though actually I'm kinda thankful Lifehouse didnt work ou... it would have been a disaster... but hey we got Whos Next didnt we... oh and Teenage Wasteland... what a ghastly way to refer to this classic...so in my humble opinion whos Next is better than Led Zeppelin IV... so who agrees with me? Of course... i dont need to fight to prove i'm right... |

I heard this song on MTV in 2001...i didnt know the name... i didn't know who sang it... i've been trying to find out for 3 YEARS! and obviously 60's rock isnt all that popular with the average 17 year old so i had a REALLY tough time finding out...anyway this song stands up with the best of them... can you ppl suggest other songs of theirs that i could listen to? |
