Damien Rice – I Remember Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I agree with you WW and WF, they do express their emotion soo well. You really can feel exactly how Damien does when he sings, it's truely amazing how good, well-sung music can have true rule over your emotions! |
Poe – Fly Away Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Smile Empty Soul – For You Lyrics | 19 years ago |
completely describes the situation I'm in with my dad right now, and with someone else as well. |
Me First and the Gimme Gimmes – Don't Cry For Me Argentina Lyrics | 19 years ago |
damn straight. |
12 Stones – Home Lyrics | 19 years ago |
yeah, i agree with you demented. I'm not a Christian, so I don't take their songs for their religious meaning, but i can still interpret the songs into situations in my life. they're one of my favorite bands :) |
Damien Rice – Silent Night Lyrics | 19 years ago |
just amazing... When I heard it the first time, I was like "ok, cool, silent night", but when I heard the lyrics, I could feel the lonliness that she was singing of, I feel it every time I hear it. I definitely think that it's because it's pretty much just her singing without much instrumental backup. Thats my $0.02 :) |
Damien Rice – Amie Lyrics | 19 years ago |
the 'Story of O' is a book about sexual awakening, seen by some as a kinky fetish novel |
Athena Cage – All Or Nothing (Save The Last Dance) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
this song got me through the hardest challenge of my life. Kept on reminding me not to give up, to show everyone that i could do it...as Az said, it's self explainatory |
Smile Empty Soul – With This Knife Lyrics | 20 years ago |
wow, this song reminds me of my relationship with my dad. My parents have been divorced for about 20 years (dad in turn married his mistress whose prime goal in life is making my sisters', mom's and my life a living hell, and he's being taken on the ride). "i let myself fall into a lie i let my walls come down i let myself smile and feel alive i let my walls come down " pretty much describes how I let my guard down in the attempts I made to re-establish a connection with him. "no matter how i try i don't know why you push so far away you wrapped your hands tight around my heart and squeezed it full of pain" is how even without trying, he has and can inflict soo much emotional damage to me and my sisters "with this knife i'll cut out the part of me the part that cares for you with this knife i'll cut out the heart of me the heart that cares for you" really describes where I am now, I'm just at the point of being like 'hey, if you want a relationship with me, you have to initiate it, because I'm done taking the leap of faith that you'll catch me and ending up falling harder and harder on my face' "i can't believe the way you took me down i never saw the pain coming in a million broken miles like poison in my veins" is definately how i never expected my own father to hurt me as much as he has "the hate and the fear the nightmares that wake me up in the tears the nightmares and (the hate)..." and i really do have nightmares...mainly about my step-mother poisoning my father, but about him shutting me out completely. sorry, i know everyone nowadays has issues with their parents, but this song really expresses how I feel about my relationship with my dad and I thought i'd share. |
This Mortal Coil – Song Of The Siren Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I didn't hear this song until I saw the preview of the recent remake of "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" kinda fits the movie...kinda. I agree with Jimmy, I think it's about someone who leads you on and then when you're finally in love with them, they deny you and push you away, but you're still in love with them |
Third Eye Blind – Slow Motion Lyrics | 20 years ago |
the instrumental version of the song is amazing |
Thousand Foot Krutch – Home/Rude Awakening Lyrics | 20 years ago |
This is a pretty rare TFK song. They did a show at Columbine after the shootings (I think a year after it happened), and neither the school nor their label would let them perform this song since it was written (supposively) for one of the victims. So instead, they made 100 copies on CD to sell at the show, all 100 were sold. Since then, they have not been able to perform the song as the result of a dispute between their label and them about burning the cd's and selling them (since the label holds all rights to production/selling of their material). If you find a copy online, it most likely skips some, but the song is amazing. Enjoy |
Matchbook Romance – Promise Lyrics | 20 years ago |
damn good love song. just shows how someone can be so helplessly dependent on the one they love that the only time they feel alive is when that person is near them. I can totally relate. If you like this song, try "Konstantine" by Something Corporate. It's a little more emo, but amazing |
Mazzy Star – Fade Into You Lyrics | 20 years ago |
this song is amazing. I heard it for the first time yesterday and I had to get it. Already burned it onto a mix :). It's a song that you feel you've heard, not because it's like anything else you've ever heard before, but because we've all lived it, well, if you've ever been in love. Guy's can totally like this song, and not be ashamed, lol. We can't be 100% testosterone alpha males all the time, even we need soothing tunes :). |
Thousand Foot Krutch – Small Town Lyrics | 20 years ago |
sounds like "she says 'I need another day, I need another day...." or possibly "I'll leave another day" just my opinion :) |
