Massive Attack – Daydreaming Lyrics | 20 years ago |
massive attack truly know how to tease the senses & entrance with their music. it's sends me to another world and this song is a prime example. delightfully disturbing in its eeriness. i love triphop. |
Massive Attack – Karmacoma Lyrics | 20 years ago |
such an alluring song. it is just so cool & cruisy. it's hard to really know what this is about, if at all anything, but it just has such an enchanting element to it. |
Massive Attack – Angel Lyrics | 20 years ago |
this song is more than just being in love with this girl who is completely entrancing and bewitching, it is in itself enticing. it evolves into dark beauty. it is mysterious and quite sinister. it is almost like a stalker singing this song... amazing |
Tricky – Makes Me Wanna Die Lyrics | 20 years ago |
this song is gloomily mellow yet beautiful. it contains intriguing tones & the melody sends me into another world. it is unexpected & has an air of cold intimacy, almost claustrophobic. troubled yet soothing, mind blowing. one interpretation which i only thought of a short while back is that this whole song may in fact be about marijuana. "she" being marijuana. it seems to work. "then i'll fly"/"walking on the moon" are common feelings associated with getting high, floating away. "you try to learn the universe/can't even converse in uni-verse" one of my favourite lines because it is so true. 'stoners' are truly innovators & they come up with some of the most amazing philosophies, but sometimes being stoned makes your conversation structure disjointed & slurred & all over the place. "follow where mary goes" was what set off this instant mary-jane, marijuana connection in me. was just a though though… regardless of what this song is actually about, it is so tragically brilliant in its remote dance with simplicity that i can’t help but become entranced every time i listen to it. |
Radiohead – Lucky Lyrics | 20 years ago |
i find myself singing this subconsciously sometimes. particularly "i feel my luck could change". it is mesmerizing, positive & hope inspiring. this is about as close to a "happy song" as radiohead can get & it's a beautiful track. it's a shame it never received much airplay, or got very far in the charts, but i guess that's what makes it all the more unique. it was in fact recorded as a b-side & then onto the help album in 1995 for the warchild charity in bosnia. i believe it is about change, making changes & the fact that even something significant or damaging can't stop the stirring feeling that something wonderful is going to happen soon. this seems to apply to the warchild benefit cause. "que sera, sera" has nothing to do with this & yes, sarah is just one of thom's favourite names. obviously my parents too. |
