The Beatles – Revolution 1 Lyrics | 19 years ago |
This song is all about communism, china's comunist revolution to be more exact.here are a few lines to back my theory up. "But when you talk about destruction" communist had no problem with war at all and were willing to goto war to spread their way of government (viet nam and korea experienced this first hand) "You say you got a real solution Well, you know We’d all love to see the plan." This is pretty strait forward. The communist claimed to have a solution to the worlds problems. And the second part sounds as if john wanted them to show him HOW! they intend on doing it. "You ask me for a contribution, Well, you know We’re doing what we can. Ut if you want money for people with minds that hate, All I can tell you is brother you have to wait." Cant state that this is in fact waht the song means, but the reason why china went comunist is because when sun yixian wanted to establish a democracy in china he asked the west for financial support and everyone blew him off, thus dissolusioning him to democracy so thus the country adventualy ended up communist. Or it could have somthing to do with china getting financial support from the U.S.S.R. "You say you’ll change a constitution" The communist made their own constitution. "You tell me it’s the institution" The communist used institution as their scapegoat. and last but not least the one verse that backs up my theory the most is "But if you go carrying pictures of chairman Mao, You ain’t gonna make it with anyone anyhow." Chairman Mao was the communist leader of china for a very long time and people worshiped him. They carried his picture, carried his book of quotes, recited his book of quotes, and many communist chinese would die for chairman Mao. So John is basicaly saying that if your a communist (carrying pictures of Chairman Mao Zedong) you are not going to make many friend. |
The Beatles – A Day in the Life Lyrics | 19 years ago |
this is regarded by me and many others as the besty song ever written as for the meaning its 90% of it is as strait forward as reading as it sounds he wrote the song while reading a news paper not everything has a deeper meaning and thats not always bad |
Porcupine Tree – Trains Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I am only geussing, but I would bet that this song is about visiting family who live near a railroad for the summer. "Train set and match spied under the blind Shiny and contoured the railway winds And I've heard the sound from my cousin's bed The hiss of the train at the railway head" Well this definatly describes being in his cousins room. And I feel that "Train set and match spied under the blind" means maybe the light of the train passing through the blinds on a window. "Shiny and contoured the railway winds" Is definatly describing what can be seen of the railroad out the window. "And I've heard the sound from my cousin's bed The hiss of the train at the railway head" This part says alot to me it tells me that hes sleeping in his cousins room, and he hears a train pass by, so this leaves me to believe he is staying with family probably borrowing his cousins room. "Always the summers are slipping away Find me a way for making it stay" This backs up my theory that he is on vacation (summer vacation) visiting fammily and that he is happy, enjoying himself, and he is dreading the fact its coming to an end. and seeing as he said "always the summerS" lead me to believe he does this every summer. "A 60 ton angel falls to the earth A pile of old metal, a radiant blur Scars in the country, the summer and her " This sounds as its saying nothing other than describing the train. "When I hear the engine pass I'm kissing you wide The hissing subsides I'm in luck" I am not clear on what this or "When the evening reaches here You're tying me up I'm dying of love It's OK" this means. My theorys are maybe he has a girlfriend with him, or its a metaphor talking about how he is falling in love with the area he is visiting. Anyways that my geuss at the meaning. |

Iron Maiden – Murders In The Rue Morgue Lyrics | 19 years ago |
It is pretty much telling the story from the sailor whos monkey killed the girl's point of veiw. Harris dont mention the monkey but it could be implyed that the killer is an ourang outang and it wouldent contradict with the lyrics. It seems to be slightly tweaked but its not to far off from the real story I actualy just finished reading it 5 mins ago, its pretty good I recomend it, you cant go wrong with Edgar Allen Poe. ***SPOILER TO THE NOVEL BELOW***** Basicaly what happens in the book is a sailor captures a ourang outang (because there extramly valuable) in the jungle, and takes it to Paris to sell. The monkey escapes breaks into a house and violently kills 2 girls. The sailor sees the whole thing through the window and gets scared and runs away. The screams of the murder draw alot of attention, and the murders become a huge mystery in Paris. So 2 detectives are there trying to solve the crime and figure out that an ourang outang could of been the only thing that could of killed the girls in the way they wer killed. ( getting shoved up a chimney upside down after being strangled. And haveing her face carved by a razor and her head choped off). But anyways the sailor comes back and tells the detectives what happened and what he saw, (he is scared to death that hes gona be wrongly accused guilty even though he is innocent). He is found innocent and the story ends. |

grind core is not at all punk most its more a black metal death metal thing and for the most part is satanic or gory some grind core bands are anal cunt carcass godflesh bolt thrower backyard burrials Gore Beyond Necropsy Cattle Decapitation Axis to perdition and of corse napalm death so if you wer to look into this stuff you would see that its not punk at all and its mainly death metal with no molody at all and throbbing gristle is not at all punk and is industreal |
Napalm Death – Nazi Punks, Fuck Off (Dead Kennedy's cover) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
Ummmm Razormasticator..... throbbing gristle IS NOT PUNK AT ALL its industreal not 1% of it is punk. And grindcore is not punk its taking death metal one step further usaly resulting in total loss of any melody sound and ends up being just a sound chaos, not always bad its best to listen to while totaly pissed off. |

Yes I belive its about people and how no one has any morals, and by the video I think it is refering to sluty people and how they have no morals thus "a world where fashion outshines morality". I actualy carved that phrase into my desk with a knife lol. |
Opeth – A Fair Judgement Lyrics | 20 years ago |
It sounds to me like a person who made a big mistake and now hes paying for it. Although I think I am wrong :-S |
Opeth – Bleak Lyrics | 20 years ago |
I really dont belive this is about killing somone, and I do agree with Snothebest. The whole Blackwatter park album has a story to it like MAYH, And I belive its about 2 people being trapped in there home through the winter and they have a really bad disease like a lerpersy type disease and one of them its kinda rotting away or somthing like that. "Fading, you are fading from my sight " this would show that the person is dieing. duh "Mist ripples round your thin white neck" This might mean that the disease is making the person thin and pale. "A liquid seeps from your chest" Possibly somthing like puss or body fluids caused by the disease. I also think the dieing person or the other person is going paranoid thus "Devious movements in your eyes" But I could be wrong. But I also heard else where that it was about a disease too. |
