| Hey, I didn't read through all of the posts so I don't know if someone else already mentioned this but what, exactly does LUSH mean? TBS uses it in a few of their songs and my friends and I were debating it the other day. Just like to hear some other opinions. Some of our ideas were a) a drunk girl or b) someone who doesnt love people but moreso lusts after them. Any ideas? Thanks. | |

| i haven't heard any other songs from this band but this song is the kind of song that gets stuck in your head for days...this song is pretty pop...which i usually don't like but i liked it when i first heard it cuz was so catchy and had almost creepy (yet original!) lyrics...then they started playing it everywhere and it just got old... | |

As for the video, it has a lot to do with being a "follower" or a "leader". In the beginning, he can control his own actions because he has not fallen to pressure to have sex or do things he is not ready for. Then, when he meets the girl, he starts to go to touch her face and be gentle. This sort of symbolizes that he wants a relationship because he starts of nurturing. Then, he starts to undress her and follows the path that many boys do. That is when he can no longer control his actions because he has fallen to become a follower. Just thought I would add my interpratation of the video. What do you guys think it means? And what do you think the lamb means? I can only connect it to "he is the lamb she is the slaughter" but I don't know. |

wow this has been going for a whole year and still remains to be an awesome song....heres my little input on the meaning of the song (based upon the lyrics from the actual CD not this site) The girl wants a meaningful relationship. However, she thinks that the only way she can get this is through sex OR she doesn't think that he wants a relationship but she wants to please him. She thinks he just wants sex and she wants to give him what he wants. The boy also wants a relationship. For whatever reason, he can't give her one (it may be that he is famous/in a band and always traveling, therefore he can't give her a relationship because of the moving around and constant sex/drugs presented in being famous). He also isn't ready for sex. He wants to go slower but doesn't want to dissapoint the girl or look like "less of a man" because he backs down from sex. A lot of this song is about how nervous he is about doing something he is not ready for. Overall, this song is about growing up and realizing that all relationships don't turn out perfect and that there is much termoil involved in pleasing a person you care about. It is about losing innocent and possibly virginity when you are not ready to let go of any of it. "Die young and save yourself" - Save yourself from the agony of relationships and trying to figure out what the other person wants and needs. This song is also about a relationship lacking communication. They both end up giving each other someting other than what they want. I'm not really sure. It is a very confusing song, to me, and I have thought about it for a while but I think this may be my best interpratation. |
