Simon and Garfunkel – The Sound of Silence Lyrics
| 19 years ago
|
Wow...this is one of my favorite songs. I didn't really get into Simon & Garfunkel until recently, which is a shame because I missed out on some great music for a long time. As for this song...it has some of the best lyrics I've ever seen...honestly.
And if some of you like remakes, then I found one for you. A band called "Draught" (formerly Furthermore)--who I found out about not too long ago--actually remade this song. And they actually did a very impressive job (in my opinion.)
If you want to, you can download it here: http://www.draughtmusic.com/downloads.asp ...just scroll down to the CD titled "Magic Street" and you'll see "Sound of Silence" available to download. |

Lifehouse – Blind Lyrics

This is my favorite song off the new CD...it's just amazing. I would assume this is going to be the second single.
As for it's meaning...
The first verse really sounds like he's talking about his father walking out on him early in his life. Now (many years later) he's in a relationship with a woman, but can't get close with her. He's reminded of the past when his father walked out on him and fears this girl will walk out on him just like his father. All this fear he has puts a strain on the relationship until they eventually break up.
...Or, it's just all about his father (which is the more likely scenario...but the last line in the chorus kind of makes me think this song is partly about a woman.)
Then again, I've never been all that good at deciphering meanings...so I could be waay off. Either way, it's an amazing song. |

July For Kings – Just Right Lyrics

Now, of course, this song is no longer unreleased. It was just put on the Nostalgia EP...I suggest everyone buy that. I also changed the lyrics slightly, so now they are completely accurate with the album version (I only had a demo version before.)
Anyways, this song is definitely one of the most beautiful I've heard...just everything about it. |

The Livid – In Your Face Lyrics

This is a really good song, but I'm not 100% sure these lyrics are correct (actually, no one seems to know if they are.) I believe the last line of verse's 1 and 2 are both wrong. Line 4 in verse 1 could be wrong, and the first line in verse 2 might also be wrong. If anyone knows if these lyrics are wrong just post a comment and if I check back here I'll edit it. |

Flaw – Not Enough Lyrics

This is probably my favorite song off their new CD. It's a little slower than I'm used to from Flaw, but they make a great song here. The chorus is what really makes it. I'm sure this song speaks to anyone who's had a relationship fail. |

Nonpoint – Rabia Lyrics

This is the Spanish version. I'm not really sure if the lyrics are completely correct, but after listening to it a few times, these lyrics appear to be at least very close to the correct ones. If someone speaks Spanish and has listened to this song and knows the lyrics I have posted are incorrect, please feel free to correct me and I will edit it to make these lyrics as accurate as possible.
For some reason when you try and translate these Spanish lyrics to English, they come out nothing like the English lyrics that I posted, but after listening to the song over and over I'm confident that these lyrics are very close to the correct ones (and I know the English one's are correct because they were directly from Nonpoint's CD booklet). |

"Rabia" means "Rage" in English, for those of you that don't know.
Although this song is sung in Spanish on the "Recoil" CD, they only had the English lyrics listed in the little booklet. |
