Broken Spindles – This Is an Introduction Lyrics
| 18 years ago

This is probably one of the most substantial of his songs. I wonder if it's actually autobiographical. If so, sad stuff. Anyhow, he's basically just saying that he'd like the opportunity to open up to somebody, to people in general. Near the end of the song he mentions how he keeps himself at a distance, and perhaps that's the reason his relationships, namely those with his family, are just broken. |

Paul Baribeau – Never Get To Know Lyrics

Well, I have a feeling that he might be referring to all the people in his life that he has seen leave and who'll he'll never get to know. Haha, but that might just be me. Great song. |

Arcade Fire – In the Backseat Lyrics

i listened to the cd a few times through. and i was pleased. it was definitely good but nothing that i considered special. and i'd listen to it occasionally just for fun. but i watched their performance on "morning becomes eclectic" a few days ago, and i finally began to recognize how awesome of a band they are. the entire half hour or so was extremely captivating. and then when the last song performed was this one, and it was seriously amazing. it was in my head the entire next day, and it definitely brightened everything. it's such an awe-inspiring song. |

Bright Eyes – Old Soul Song (For the New World Order) Lyrics

I don't know, but i've always figured that when he compares the flowers to the new tv's that he's actually referring to like hope and stuff. Right before he mentions the flowers on the hill side, he talks about how lonely he gets at times. It's almost as if the flowers, the tv's, or whatever are a sign that everything is okay. |
