it's interesting to me that this song has such tragic lyrics and yet, at the "one day i am going to grow wings" part sounds so hopeful and beautiful. it's a stunning song. did you know that the two guitar parts in the verses are completely different time signatures? it's so tricky to play. i actually heard that radiohead couldn't play it live for a while. |

man, i have no idea what this song is about. perlberg's idea is, um, interesting. but yeah, this video is incredible. i think it's the best video ever made. every time i watch the ending it gives me goosebumps. |

evilgirl's right. there was also this craze like five or six years ago when everybody was saying that taking melatonin would seriously turn your biological clock back. it would make you young again. my parents were really into it. but that whole thing just kind of faded out, i guess. |

i always thought this song was about y2k, how all the crazies were stockpiling guns and food because they were so sure the world was going to end. i think it's just about how baseless panic can snowball into something totally overwhelming. |

i can't believe nobody's mentioned the fact that this song is just drums and vocals. i think that took a lot of guts on their part to try, and i think it was a total success. i adore this song. |
