To me, this song speaks STRAIGHT to how I feel sometimes. It's in your face and I love it. "JUST TELL ME THE DAMN TRUTH." It feels powerful, like she ain't gonna take shit.

I love the music, love how they sing, the beats, all of it. The lyrics are a bit over the top when they're talking about what they'll do for a man (Get him slippers? Sounds dog-like!) but when someone does so much for you and when you love them a lot, you'll give in return what they give to you. Like family, they support you and you support them. Like passionatelover69 said, "it's all about a mutual effort."

I really love your comment; I completely agree with you. That thought that Ben had crosses my mind a lot. I think it crosses a lot of people's minds, too.
To me, this song reminds me of how much comfort your loved one gives you. "A melody softly soaring through my atmosphere" Whenever someone listens to a melody/song that just grabs your heart, it's a beautiful thing. And so is having your loved one there with you. |

This song is completely about dancing to me. I think that someone who really gets into their dancing can relate to this song. The beat just moves the body. I really love this song 'cause every time I hear, I want to dance. Crazy, but true.
And "Jazze" is the guy's name. And we all know this song is not jazzy. I hate it when people put a whole different meaning on something. |

I think for Ciara, a young black woman, to be saying things like "I need better than some man looking to score" is extremely important for OUR time. Petey's lyrics represent all the males that Ciara is responding to. (Again, this is what I think it means)
And StrangeKara, you said "If she isn't a young girl then what is she?" Ciara's lyrics are "But I'm not just a young girl." JUST. She's not saying, "I'm not a young girl" Ciara is saying I'm MORE than just a young girl, I have a BRAIN, I am INDEPENDENT. And I understand that this is your opinion, but this is my opinion on your opinion. So yeah. |

i listen to that crazy music you talk about but damn, i really miss Aaliyah. Listening to all her songs again makes it so hard to understand that we'll never hear from her again which is so tragic because her music is so good (to me, anyway).
