This is so society and media. Everything and anything that has to do with gossip, rumors, social groups, what people expect of you and being accepted. My favorite part of this whole thing is, "I hear you say it Play it smart girl Win the game love Give 'em what they want What they want to see and you could be a big star You could go far," Because she sounds so sarcastic it's fun. Truely a great song. |

Basic plotline: Girl meets guy. Girl falls head over heels for guy, just like he planned. They fool around, he teaches her some stuff, most likely involving sex, and meanwhile the guy is drifting further and further away emotionally without the girl realizing it. Not that he even was in love with her in the first place, but... Anyways, she starts noticing she's losing him and that he doesn't really care, but wont leave him because she's too emotionally attatched and believes she can change him. Which will most likely never happen. |

It sounds like the guy went and got a sex change after going through a confusing and difficult time in his life. |

| This song is *very* strong with the sexual undertones. Birds and bees, guys getting harder, collecting jewels and so forth, you can really tell. But the great thing about it is, it never specifies which sex this point of view is coming from, and which sex it's being directed to. I think this has got to be one of the most open songs I've ever heard, because you can really make what you want of it. | |

| From what I can tell, this is about someone who was hurt badly by another they trusted, and blamed themselves (something that you did will destroy me, something that you did will stay with me), plus the offender. "If holy is as holy does, this house would burn staight down to hell," implies that if this person truely said or confessed to what they were doing, they'd be damned, and because they're not confessing, no one will believe it happened (If God's my witness, God must be blind). It's pretty much an anger rant and the feelings of betrayel and disgust all jammed into one. | |
