All That Remains – Focus Shall Not Fail Lyrics
| 19 years ago

good god
these guys did not rip off In Flames at all. In Flames used to be melodic metal, but now are just another crappy nu metal band.
a7x is a shitty trendycore band
Slipknot isn't really that great. Their drummer is good, but otherwise they are a gimmick.
All That Remains seem to have their act together. They kind of feed off the KsE craze (if you listen to their songs you can hear alot of similarities), but are definately a talented band. |

she blames the whole thing on her band (oh, and her acid reflux). Please. This no-talent whore needs to shut the fuck up, get a nose job, then stop making music. Ashlee Simpson loses at life |

Zao – Psalm Of The City Of The Dead Lyrics

What's being said here is that people who are waiting for a "modern messiah" are waiting in vain. The last three lines are pretty much saying even being pious doesn't grant just rewards (at least not in this life).
Cool song. I like the instrumental riffs |

Skinless – The Front Line Of Sanity Lyrics

Skinless fucking rules. One of if not the best death metal band out there today....it's a close one between them and Cryptopsy. This is probably my favorite song by Skinless.
As for the meaning....I think it's basically about taking a look at modern society and culture from the outside. Sometimes to truly see the prostitution of religion and government, you need to clear your mind of what's been forced on you all your life, and take focus (from the front line of sanity ;) )
Sorry if that sounded like a generic, anti-societal rant. Again, great song. |

good to know Victory is doing its part contributing to the trend of emo-poppy-punk-with-screaming bands. Good god I hope this shit doesn't become any bigger. |

Brand New – The No Seatbelt Song Lyrics

Deja Entendu is 10x better than Your Favorite Weapon. Instead of just cranking out another pop-punk catchy album, Brand New has put out a very matured emo album.
Anyways, good song |

Bouncing Souls – East Coast Fuck You Lyrics

noreasontodie, afipunk is right, for the most part at least. The Sex Pistols and The Clash were just normal punk, Black Flag, Bad Brains, etc. were hardcore. The East Coast was home to Ian from Minor Threat (one of the first hardcore bands) |

Deftones – Anniversary of an Uninteresting Event Lyrics
| 20 years ago

I think this could possibly be about his wife. In RX Queen it seems to talk about a certain infection she got from the drug RX and it could have finally killed her. I think Chino feels especially hurt by this because of his past problems with cocaine. I hear one line in this song that particularly illustrates his pain.
"not since you left have the waves come"
It sounds like what he's feeling when he's without her is total emptyness and silence. And although waves coming onto shores can sometimes be seen as disturbances, I believe that as they pertain to this song, symbolize a cycle (high tide, low tide) of something that seemed like it would never end. Also, the absence of waves from the shore may seem almost haunting to someone who witnesses it, much the same as the haunting feeling Chino may feel now. |

Darkest Hour – Messiah Complex Lyrics

a messiah complex is when a person thinks he or she is the only one who can save the world. Just thought you'd like to know.
great song |
