I was listening to this song the first time I smoked DMT. My god that was a fucked up trick. I always liked this song, too. Something about the way it sounds and what I think it's about I think is interesting.
I think it's about a guy who rapes kids, but one of the kids falls in love with him, but the kid really just wants to take his aggressions out on the rapist for abusing him. Stockholm Syndrome if you catch my drift. |

This song isn't about anything. This is the same song as Pink Maggot, except this version completely sucks and the only reason it was made was to show how easy it is to have a hit. I've always hated this song. I'm glad I bought the original limited edition version of White Pony with The Boys Republic on it, a good song.
This song completely takes away from the beauty of Pink Maggit, and aside from being a big "fuck you" to a record company, it also goes to reveal every single poseur and pseudo-deftones fan on forums just like this. You make me sick. And that's worse is that this is probably the song that got all of these tools into the Deftones. They probably weren't aware of albums prior to White Pony, and even worse, probably skip around to the heavier songs on that album because they're weak and can't handle experimental music. Half of you probably can't understand any of Chino's lyrics because you're still in middle school.
I hate you. Quit ruining my favourite bands. |

You know he's right. You tool fans often state your opinions as fact, and if someone gives an opinion that does not coincide with your own, you are always quick to say "Keep it to yourself" or "if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything." Children, this is not how the freedom of speech works. Just because you don't agree with someone doesn't make them right or wrong. What the fuck do you care if this fellow doesn't like the album? Did you write the album? Do you think the people who wrote the album care? No, they don't. You chump stains really need to grow the fuck up, already. It's only a band.
As for the song, the title is, no doubt, in reference to Jambi the Genie. That is why there is that whole wish theme. Tool are nerds, if you hadn't guessed already. They dress up in full costume and go to Star Trek conventions and people don't even recognize them, so why is it so hard to digest that everything they do doesn't have to be something important? Why can't the song title be in reference to Pee-Wee's Playhouse? I suppose you're the kind of dumbass tool fans who will tell me Maynard's Dick has some deep link to quantum immortality or some bullshit you really don't know anything about, but pretend to know about. |
