Has anybody heard Cartman's version on South Park. Its pretty damn funny! They use Styx's original music, with Cartmans sweet voice, and chef jumps in towards the end. I posted the lyrics. Just waitin for em to get approved! |

your gonna get lambasted. I also think this song has to be about achieving your goals. I used to think about it being about aliens, but i saw that version that Cartman did off South Park, and it made soo much sense to that episode. And i had my youth minister play it at youth group, during a prayer service, nobody felt God more than that time. |

im 18 and love this song! I actually heard it in a church for a fundraiser, a guy did this song, sounded EXACTLY like Billy Joel. I just got the Vinyl Album, it will never be sold. |

Me and my friends have come to the conclusion that this song isnt as complex as ppl think. The character, we will call him Fred, kills a man, and tells his mother. Of course he has to go, he hears sirens, but nobody knows he has done it. So, he finds a hideout. He does heroine, or some drug that lets you see things. He of course sees the Devil, and Angels fighting over him. He begs for mercy at the devils and the angels take his side, but they fight way too much, and he cant take it anymore. He runs out of the hideout and just keeps running. When the tempo slows down from the fast paced guitar solo, thats when he is caught. With his mother looking down on him, cause she knew. And the whole time, he is telling this story in his cell at jail. And all of a sudden, two wardens pick him up and put him in an electric chair, and the last note is them pullin the switch. I doubt this might be the real meaning, but it would make for a kick ass music video. QUEEN ROCKS! |
