The lyric "I was only out for a day" implies homosexuality to me. The storyteller is regretting 'wandering' from someone he loved because of inexperiance and fear. With the 'hundred thousand' others it was just sex without consequence. This person meant something. He wasnt ready. And now it's too late. |

this song is great cause it means a different thing to everyone. pretty much everyone has memories attached to this song, coz its just one of those songs you remember....do i make sense? ne way, its a really good song cos it can either make you really happy or really sad, dapending on what mood ur in i suppose.

okay so i'm pretty sure the two verses have different themes...the first is obviously about somebody who's died- with the whole 'unsespectivg vitim' thing....and jack and sally reffering to the charactes from a nightmare before christmas and suggesting that he could commit suicide to be with her. (which is of course what he'd have to do if she's dead).
But yeah ne way then i think the second verse is about the death of the relationship cause otherwise it wouldnt say 'like indecision to call you' or 'will you come home' coz she couldnt speak or come home if she was dead. unless of course blink has decided to go all metaphorical- which wouldnt suprise me what with the depth of this song compared to their usual efforts!!

i never got this song- has annie been murdered or what? cos it goes "it was your doom" which suggestes she's be dead but the she's talking?!?! and you dont ask a dead person if they're ok. and then there's the whole 'bloodstains on the carpet' thing.... |
