Underoath – Reinventing Your Exit Lyrics

i don't think this song is about sex at all but the song a boy brushed red is definitely about sex.
really i think this song has to deal with the self doubt and emptiness one might feel when they become christian. like when i was a young kid at a christian grade school, when they would push christianity on us i always doubted the existence of god and wondered if it is worth it to believe, and i felt like it was a waste of time.
the song is saying how the person keeps thinking about it and doesn't want to believe but he instead, keeps 'reinventing' him. the exit which is god. like he doesn't want to die and not have an exit but he can kinda feel that it's there.
he says that god is uninviting and unrewarding. he says that god broke his heart again and is fading out in his life and cross the line when he let him down. here he is talking about how god never intervenes whenever he needs him. and he feels like that is the only thing he needs to believe. so he feels like trapped like he's up against a wall and he could chose to believe or not believe and be a sinner. he picks to believe in the end and is "saved'...i think.
what do you guys think? |

Ryan Adams – Hypnotixed Lyrics

ok i think i know who he's talking about, sara bell was a punk rock banjo player for the groundbreaking band Angels of Epistemology in the mid 80's. "I used to play my banjo through a fuzz-face fuzz pedal, and I played it with a bow for an Irish instrument called a psaltery."
apparently her eyes are "hypnotizing", i guess our friend ryan adams has a little crush. hehehehe...um...but anyway he grew up around her neighborhood in north carolina and got a liking to her a bit so they talked and hung out. i'm pretty sure that's who he's talking about. |

though the song is simple. i think there are like 2 chords played the entire time except for a little bit at the end. but anyway, the lyrics are really great and her voice really carries the song well. |

donnie darko, blah, blah, blah...okay it was in donnie darko, great! but really now, let's talk about the song. it's such a beautifully crafted song. the lyrics are so true to life and the music behind it compliments the mood the lyrics are setting. tear for fears are one hell of a talented band. |

Big Country – In A Big Country Lyrics

no one has commented on this song so i am just going to say, that i think it's great and more people should know about this obscure band. big country loved making songs about their homeland. Scotland. and the music behind the words was one of the most powerful things about this band. such pretty instrumental work...oh and plaid, got to love the plaid outfits during a time of a sort of fashion frenzy these guys didn't even seem to care. awesome guys! |

make a mixtape for her dood. but yea i'm not a big fan of this band or anything but i really like the new album. i keep hearing all this fuss about how it sounds like the old one and it won't be as good. i thought the first one sucked balls. this one has a lot more substance and the songs really seem to compliment eachother unlike the other one. |

umm has any one ever heard of queen? because i think this is a baltant rip off but i think this song has many redeeming qualities too it. i mean just too know that there are still bands willing to let their balls hang out is really refreshing thing to see. what i mean is that alot of bands today just don't let enough ball hang out of their trousers. i mean if you aren't going to let any ball out then you are really not living at ball...haha ball get it hahahahahaa |

how is it a kennedy reference? not to sound like i'm attacking you but the lyric it self can't explain how it is a reference to a president that was assasinated, just back up your point because i don't see it. |

Another great song off of the phenominal new ablum. I take that this song is about a person you really hate although they were your friend at one time. The person is trying to hold back all the hate but can't do it. I love the line "Redemption is a Bitch, to end on." It really sticks it in there. It also kinda sounds like a heated argument near the end but then again maybe this song is about forgiving...I have no clue, really. How bout someone else give it a try? |
