This is my faviorite song. Heres my variated interpretations. I think the song could be conveying the actions of the past while under the influence of whatever addiction or manipulation. That you arnt able to change anything from the past, it is just floating away. The reget "LIke a thought brushing up against a sigh" you cant change, it is vanishing. Also when we percieve the outside world we gain psychological interpretations. These interpretations can often turn into behavoral patterns manipulatingourselves from realizing universall nature. That the song can also be expressing the fact that these pshychological patterns we have built up on ourselves over time are not universall, not illusions in that sense, but rather allusions. |

I think lullabye is conveying a behavoral pattern you arnet able to free yourself from. It is after pet, and pet can be percieved as the behavoral pattern speaking to the person, comforting him. The repeated line "go back to sleep" in lullabye is showing how the person is unable to free himself from the pattern of behavior. Somethings are just to hard to free yourself from. In gravity this carryed on. "UNable to just let this go" or "tail in hand". |

My interpretation: The song is implieing someone who is afraid to do something or just be. "Best t keep things in the shallow end cuz i never quite learned how to swim" or "i just didnt want to know" The person stays under the comfort of the addiction or psychological manipulation even though things outside of them are being adversely affected. They just dont wanna know. They ignore the smoke and stay comforted. |

The album contains the dynamics of a 12 step program. In the 8th step of the 12 step program you are supposed to create a list of all the people you have hurt while being under the grips of a addiction Also relating to the song gravity, the 12th step is having a spiritual awakening and realising you will never be totally perfect. Never totally free of behavorial patterns and adiction. |
