i think this song is about this guy who follows his girlfriend home, but finds that she locked the door and wouldnt let him in. so he just stands there in the snow looking sad and nearly freezing to death until she comes out. he compliments her and she let him back in |

this song is about a nobody daydreaming about being famous like his favorite hockey player (Phil Esposito) or a world leader. he then goes on saying that he'll be recognized everywhere and everyone will want to be him. he thinks that he won't care that it's lonely at the top because he'll of achieved his dream. he then wraps up his dream career by suddely dissappearing and achieving immortality like Elvis (with the 'is he still alive?' factor) |

at the concert i went to, when they got to "I just made you say underwear" some people in the front row tossed their underwear on the stage. then Ed picked one pair up and hung it off his guitar. is it just me, or is there always something being thrown at them (in a good way) during a concert? |
