i’m not really a fan of emo at all, so when I heard of all these indie kids talking about the postal service i knew i'd hate it - until i listened to the cd.
i LOVE it. It's not stereotypical emo at all.. the lyrics aren't really whiney, they are brilliant and clever!
if you’re a big fan of this style, of the very emotional, poetic lyrics with the electronic background, i highly recommend that you check out a duo called VNV NATION. they are more on the industrial side of the spectrum, but if you love this song, listen and read the lyrics for the song “airships” – completely beautiful. |
