This is a great song. I still like Goo Goo Dolls current stuff, but the songs on Boy Named Goo kicked so much more ass. It was before the band was pussy pop. |

Gob – I Hear You Calling Lyrics

This is an awesome song. The video kicks ass too. The band is playing soccer with zombies and like kicking their arms off and stuff. It's great. The video reminds me of that cartoon show that used to be on, The Mutant League. By the way, ice-dive from a few comments ^ is gay. |

What's with punk bands and references to The Outsiders? NFG has an album titled "Nothing Gold Can Stay" and then there's this song, which infact is very good. |

Dynamite Boy – Charmed Lyrics

Dynamite Boy kicks large amounts of ass. This is a great song. I think it's about a guy who never tells his girlfriend how he really feels. He just asumes that she already knows. He never thinks that she would leave, but she does. |

I really like this song. I first heard in when I bought the drive thru records sampler "Welcome To The Family." Apparently this song was unrealesed until it was put out on this cd. Good stuff. |

Dinosaur Jr. – Freak Scene Lyrics

This is a great song. I originally heard it on Blink 182's Flyswatter Demo that they recorded as teenagers and thought it was a Blink original, but I searched for the song online and got this. What a great song. The blink cover is good too. |

The Get Up Kids – Don't Hate Me Lyrics

Get Up Kids are so cool. This song is awesome. It's their old stuff when they were more punkish emo, but it sounds like their new mellow stuff. Good lyrics about a guy leaving a chick but realizing he's still in love with her. |

Surefire – Ballad Lyrics

Good call Bartel. To me it just always seemed like it was about a guy that killed himself. Maybe just cuz I was bummed, I dunno. I think the "blood type A match being washed from your hands," made me think it was a suicide. |

Blink-182 – Wasting Time Lyrics
|
Wasting Time is a great song. I think it's one that most teenagers or I guess anyone can relate to. Everyone has had that time when they were sitting around thinking about someone that they liked and though, hey maybe she/he is thinking about me right now. The song talks about all the things that him and his girl could learn from eachother and the fun they could have. |

Green Day – You Lied Lyrics

This is a really cool song, and the meaning is pretty obvious. It's just about someone who lies all the time. Lies are gay. |

Good call both Cleo and Insomniac86. It's really hard to tell who's right. You both make very good points, and I really have no idea what the songs about. All that I know it that this song kicks ass and that Green Day is awesome. |

Green Day – 2,000 Light Years Away Lyrics
| 22 years ago
|
Billy Joe wrote this song about his future wife after he kissed her for the first time. He met her in Green Day's early years, and kept in touch with her. He knocked her up and they got married. This is such a good song about being in love with someone who lives a long ways away, so far that it seems like you're on different planets. Great song by a great band. |

Surefire – Ballad Lyrics

This is such a great song. The song is being told from the view point of someone who killed themself. He's telling all his friends not to worry because he'll still think about them and watch over them from where ever he is. Great song, great band. NOFX – We Threw Gasoline On The Fire And Now We Have Stumps For Arms And No Eyebrows Lyrics
| 22 years ago
|
This is such a great song. To me it's about how although Nofx is now more popular and they feel sort of like sellouts, it's doesn't matter. "No, I don't feel the need for relivin'. Somethings are better off dead." I think it's so gay how some people won't listen to a band just because they're popular. Being popular doesn't make bands sellouts. Changing what their music to become popular makes them sellouts. One of the main ideas of being punk is doing what you want and like and not caring what other people think. So who gives a fuck if a band it popular, if you like them listen to them. If you don't, don't. There's no way that Nofx are sellouts. They haven't changed their style at all. More people are just realizing how good they are. |

Fenix TX – Ben Lyrics

I'm pretty sure this is about a friend that died. It sort of sounds to me like a suicide, or maybe just making a lot of bad choices that led to his demise. Either way, it's a great song. |

Surefire – Broken Too Lyrics

This is a teenage guy anthem. It's about like a girl who won't give you a chance. She always ends up dating dicks, and you know you'd be the perfect guy for her. Then you try and find another girl, but you always end up going back to the same one who won't give you a chance. |

I'm not sure what they say in the very first line. It's something.. a lonely man in a crowded room. To me it sounds like "Paul was a lonely man in a crowded room," but I could be wrong. Please let me know if you can figure it out. |

Box Car Racer – Letters To God Lyrics

I think this song is about someone who's sick and is going to die, but doesn't want to. They haven't done what they wanted to with their life. So they ask God for like another chance, and say that they'll do better. They "won't lie, won't sin." |

Blink-182 – Give Me One Good Reason Lyrics

This is such a badass song. It's all about being yourself and not wanting to be like everyone else. It's such a punk, noncomformist message. It's great. Everyone else is different from us, it's not like we're different from them. |
