i think its about being there for someone in a lasting relationship.. but also by being with them for so long you are within each others minds.. so the stronger party is controlling and manipulative.. taking what they want then leaving the other controlled individual... its about telling someone that you will always be there for them.. this song is about self-mutilation and self-deformation. self-mutilation is on the rise for young people. i do not advocate it and im sure that Jessicka does not advocate it as well. people who bash artists for lyrically expressing themselves when it comes to cutting are f*cking morons. {glares at YOU}. this song holds significant meaning to me and should be held higher than it currently is.
subjects, such as cutting, are sensitive to approach.. music seems to be the only way for people to talk about things pertaining to sensitive subjects.

i think this song is about learning to be yourself even though you are projecting yourself through a fake version of what you wish you were. it ends up being dripping with guilt and self-damaging thoughts that end up destroying the part of you that is real. you are left with the fake version of you. and its been so long pretending to be someone else.. that you believe that the imaginary part of you has died.. when in all actuallity.. its the section of yourself that you believed would be saved from extinction. |

my heart goes out to those who have lost a loved one.. its a very painful thing to go through.
this song reminds me, not of death, but of a friend that had to go to an institution because of the troubles he was having. even though they have returned, they refuse to see any of their old friends. i miss them terribly.. and i cant do anything to get them back.
