Everclear – Electra Made Me Blind Lyrics 21 years ago
I think that this great song could be about drugs. Art 'met' Electra (representing the drugs) and he didn't know too much about them, but he didn't ask. He just say them 'spinning round' and took them. He talks about how "living isn't a simple thing" and how everyone makes bad choices in their life that hurt them. As for "July she lied" I think that could be about his brother who overdosed on drugs (possible in July?)

Everclear – White Men In Black Suits Lyrics 21 years ago
I absolutely love this song. It's just beyond amazing. It's so uplifting, just talking about two ordinary people and how their love for each other allows them to rise above the people that mistreat them.

I think Ashes is on to something. Great cover.

Oh, and if you're not mature enough to keep yourself from arguing, then don't post it here.

Nirvana – Rape Me Lyrics 22 years ago
This song could definately have a meaning about the media and how they "raped" him. In fact, knowing Kurt's feelings about it, it probably does, but Kurt was a strong believer in Karma. It's just like FROST17 said. He felt that, if you're going to do it, then get it overwith, but it's going to come back much worse for you.

John Lennon – Watching The Wheels Lyrics 22 years ago
Another great song by Lennon, again with the topic of religion. IMO, this is a song about religious people trying to convert him or tell him what he can do to "be better in the eyes of God" or whatever, and he's saying "No, I don't believe." He just wants to sit and enjoy life "watching the wheels go round." He doesn't want to waste the only life he has trying to impress someone that doesn't exist.

John Lennon – God Lyrics 22 years ago
I think self-reliance is just a second meaning to the song, the first being the obvious literal translation of the song as Mojo pointed out. Great song! To me, he's saying, I don't believe in faith, I believe in what's real. I believe in what's happening here and now, and everyone may not like it, but it's the truth and they will just have to "carry on."

I believe this song is about the issue of abortion and, well, Pennsylvania and it's laws against it.

Everclear – Heroin Girl Lyrics 22 years ago
This song is so great. It's the story about when Art was younger he lost his girlfriend to a heroin OD (I'm pretty sure). He also lost his brother to the same. When the cops were examining his brother, his mom heard them say "just another overdose." That line is so amazing, the power it has behind it, it makes you feel for Art because it wasn't just another overdose, it was a person with feelings and emotions that he looked up to.

Everclear – All Fucked Up Lyrics 22 years ago
This song is pretty self-explanitory. "I'm all fucked up," and, "if the rest of my life is going to be like this, then I think I'm ready to die." That sums it up right there.

Nirvana – Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge on Seattle Lyrics 22 years ago
I believe Frances Farmer was actually driven to insanity by all those around her. This is a great song.
