I think this song is about the loss of innocence. A kid is growing up and corruption is destroying his innocence. His throne of ice that he used to play with is melting. Now his castle is full of false expectations and illusions because the world is deceiving him. I think this is a powerful song if you read between the lines. |

Nobody posted for this song?! That's insane. This is one of the songs on my "Mood Picker-Upper" CD.
I think this song is about a person who is very confused and just burried in all this "cling and clatter". He tries to explain himself, but so is everyone else, so his voice gets burried. He wants out of this confusion, but he's trapped. When someone said something that probably hurt him, it keeps ringing inside his head and haunting him. Basically, inside his head, it's just complete cling and clatter. |

This song always made so much sense to me. The most powerful line in this song is "And I wonder where these dreams go when the world gets in your way?" I think this song is mostly about innocence fading. And you start feeling alone and confused, but "what's the point in all this screaming / they're not listening anway." Brings tears to my eyes every time I listen to it. |

The most powerful line to me in this song is "I find sometimes it’s easy to be myself / Sometimes I find it’s better to be somebody else." I think Dave goes through the same dilemma as everyone else. Everyone feels uncomfortable in certain situations but comfortable in others. Sometimes you feel like you can speak your mind, but then other times you fear rejection and speak the mind of someone else. |

The reason I love DMB so much is they always have a message. They just want the world to be a little better and they use their music to help. I, for one, find their music to be the best remedy for everything around me.
This song is telling people to stop being so materialistic because at the end we all die and none of it really matters. |

i think it's about a heartbroken man. This song is so incredibly touching. I could just picture this guy sitting at a bar with tears at the edge of his eyes begging the bartender for just one more drink because all he wants to do is forget about this pain in his heart. Because of this girl who left him, his grace is gone.
I think we've all felt like this about someone we've loved at one point or another. We just feel helpless. |

I've actually cried a couple of times while listening to this song. This is the my all-time favorite song in the entire world. Everything in this song speaks to me. I love DMB. |
