P.O.D. – Youth Of The Nation Lyrics 21 years ago
I'm a spiritualist.

I don't believe in any god.

I believe there is some form of 'higher power'.

I don't have or believe in any religion.

There is good and bad in everyone. No one is 100% bad or 100% good.

I have spirit guides that watch over me and are with me as I travel through this journey of life.

The beliefs I do have are based on personal experiences rather than something I've simply chosen to follow or tag along with.

I believe in Karma, and destiny. I know Karma is alive because I've seen the effects of it and I've experienced it first hand. It's come around and kicked me in the ass a few times when I've done bad things, and I've always known why.

But then Karma is related to universal energy, so it brings good as well as bad - and I've had my share of good in this world
My beliefs align with some of the Bhuddist, the Chinese ancient philosophy and the universal law of energy.

I don't believe there is a 'heaven' or 'hell'. [When you die you pass over to the 'other side' - you move on to the next life or phase in your journey - in time you may return to this earth and be re-incarnated

When you return to this earth it is possible to come back the opposite to what you were in the previous life. If you were a boy you can come back as a girl.

This in part explains why some people have identity crises and feel like they are trapped in the wrong body - probably because in a past life they were the opposite sex.]

Heaven and hell are "places" that those of Christian beliefs use to justify certain situations and moral beliefs.

Example - "You are a bad person so you will go to hell".

Here's the hypocrisy of it all: Someone talks about a bad person and therefore believes, under these Christian values that the person must therefore be going to hell. When that person dies, and a child comes along and says "Where is x now?" - the answer is always "He's gone to heaven"....

So that does one of two things - either shows that person up as being a liar (gosh, now wasn't there one of the ten commandments that says thou shall not lie?) or worse, it means that person doesn't believe in the power of their own convictions or values.

I have yet to be introduced to a Christian who not only believes in the ten commandments but actually practices them completely and without failing.

I find total hypocrisy in how one can break all the rules (sin) throughout the week yet turn up at some building on the weekend and request forgiveness and somehow that makes everything all right.

Because few people actually know what happens after death, they choose to rationalise it by using terms like heaven and hell. It's convenient, simple and tidy.

On a similar note, terms such as "The Devil" and "Satan" are of similar vain - as they are simply used as scapegoats to explain away anything bad that happens, or why someone acts the way they do.

I find it interesting that in the bible (which is not complete because there are many chapters apparently that were left out way back in the 1500's or around about because someone couldn't translate them properly).

This of course is not the only shortcoming of the Bible. Unfortunately I could write a book on how it just doesn't stack up, and I'm too busy compiling a book on something far more interesting than that.

Well, I could go on, and on, and on and on and on...

But I won't - I think I've said enough for now.

In the meantime, have a think about this:

First, we postulate that if souls exist, then they must have some mass. If they do, then a mole (unit of measurement of small amounts) of souls can also have a mass. So, at what rate are souls moving into hell and at what rate are souls leaving?

I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving.

As for souls entering hell, lets look at the different religions that exist in the world today. Some of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to hell. Since there are more than one of these religions and people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all people and all souls go to hell.

With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in hell to increase exponentially.

Now, we look at the rate of change in volume in hell. Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in hell to stay the same, the ratio of the mass of souls and volume needs to stay constant.

So, if hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter hell, then the temperature and pressure in hell will increase until all hell breaks loose.

Of course, if hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in hell, than the temperature and pressure will drop until hell freezes over.

i dont belive in orgornised religon cus of Alice in Wonderland or to be more precise Through the Looking Glass That poem, "The Walrus and the Carpenter" that's an indictment of organized religion. The walrus, with his girth and his good nature, he obviously represents either Buddha, or...or with his tusk, the Hindu elephant god, Lord Ganesha. That takes care of your Eastern religions. Now the carpenter, which is an obvious reference to Jesus Christ, who was raised a carpenter's son, he represents the Western religions. Now in the poem, what do they do...what do they do? They...They dupe all these oysters into following them and then proceed to shuck and devour the helpless creatures en masse. I don't know what that says to you, but to me it says that following these faiths based on mythological figures ensure the destruction of one's inner-being. Organized religion destroys who we are by inhibiting our actions...by inhibiting our decisions, out of...out of fear of some...some intangible parent figure who...who shakes a finger at us from thousands of years ago and says...and says, "Do it--Do it and I'll fuckin' spank you!"
