| I think this song's meaning is fairly simple: being one with God / using God to escape from your problems... embracing his love... yadda yadda. I'm far from the fundamental religious type (Unitarian), but this is still a good song none-the-less. If you like good lyrics and can stomach the occasional Christian slant, then Pedro The Lion is good. This is a sad, empty shell of a song, void of any real content, depth, or insight. I weep for the little girls who listen to this and aspire to emulate Brittney's image. This song is catchy and worthless... This is the kind of music you could put in the background for a commercial for almost any sort of product, e.g. anal wart remover, automobiles, or even, God-forbid, Pepsi. Brittney is a corporate atomotan whore-puppet... She's full of wires and servos to move her arms around. Her only saving grace, her voice, is STILL the result of thousands of dollars worth of EQ'ing, noise-gating, mixing, and mastering. On top of that, her music is easily digestible synth-pop-crap: it's disgusting. The fact that this stuff gets broadcasted on the air, and that people tell me I should actually ENJOY this, is almost insulting to my intelligence, taste, and standards. P.S. None of you have a "man"--You're 13/14/15 ... If you feel insulted, go back to watching Top 20 Spring Break Real World TRL Live! on MTV (tm) (c) and I'm sure Noxema and Abercrombie will soothe your wounds. By the way, I reserve the full right to come here and say all this--I'm unable to avoid this noise all day on the radio, TV, magazines, etc., so here is me turning around and fighting back. God, it feels great to get that all off my chest. I hope ClearChannel goes bankrupt... |

Simplistic .. thanks for your feelings on this song. With such intelligent and mature insight, I truely feel enlightend. I'm sure your parents are proud of you. You are surely a pillar of authority regarding what music is good, what music people should like, and what music people shouldn't like; your wisdom will be a beacon of hope for those unable to have thier own opinions. Moving along from the troll... JEW = very emotional, and very powerful. I've seen JEW play before and it's been an amazing experience. This is my fave song off the new album.
