One of the things I love about Dashboard is that every time I listen to them, I get a new favorite song. I read the lyrics, and they totally describe how I'm feeling or how I've felt. They're universal.
I think we're all guilty of posing or trying to grow up too fast, at one time or another. God knows I've lied to look cooler. I'm glad to know there's at least one person out there who will accept me for who I am, even if I would never be so insanely lucky enough to meet him. (that was a really awkward sentence. My English teacher would not be proud.) |

I just saw Dashboard in concert last night, and he played this song, but he didn't sing the "waiting for blood to flow to my fingers, I'll be alright when my hands get warm" part. Which was highly disappointing, since I think that's the best part of the song. Heart-wrenching. God, it was a great concert, though. |

I think it's kind of sad that the only people who like this song are disney fans. Most of y'all don't know that Simon and Milo are the same as Prozzak, they just changed their name. Also, it's really funny that they play a Prozzak song on the Disney Channel, cause a lot of Prozzak's songs aren't appropriate for children... like Shag Tag. Heh. What if a small child went and bought the CD because they liked this song, and then they're like, "Mommy, what's 'shag' mean?"? That'd be really funny, actually. Heh. Anyway, more power to the disney channel for playing Prozzak. They deserve more airtime. |

This is beautiful. I think this forum is exactly what Serj was going for when he wrote the song. Now, I've never met the guy, myself (I'd love to, but I'm not so lucky), but I think that he leaves a lot of his songs are open to interpretation, and everybody on here has a totally valid interpretation, I just think that the point that some of you are missing is that ***you're all right.*** Serj might have written it about something in particular, but that doesn't mean you can't believe it's about something else. Doesn't Eve 6 just rock your sox off? I know my sox were off the first time I heard Inside Out, and they've backed it up with two wonderful CDs. I was a bit disappointed by Here's To The Night - it's so mainstream, so non-Eve 6, but still pretty dern good, until it got overplayed on the radio. THE RADIO STILL SUX. |

This really is a great song... why didn't it make it onto the 10 Things I Hate About You Soundtrack? It was in the movie, at the beginning. For that matter, so was "One Week" by the Barenaked Ladies, which isn't as good of a song, but still, that soundtrack was good, though short, and could have benefitted from the addition of both songs. |

I don't watch MTV (except for the Osbournes, heehee); I don't know who Chris is - fan sites, band info stuff just aren't my bag; I haven't even fuckin heard of emo (wtf is that? do you just come up with new genres cause you can?). The only genres I put music in are "good" and "bad." Dashboard Confessional = good! I'm in it for the music and the lyrics, and DC delivers. Why do you guys get so wrapped up in the packaging?

The Charles Manson "theories" are true, according to the band, but as for the retarded kid thing - lyrics can be taken anyway you want them to. This song just portrays the helplessness that comes from being: a. retarded b. locked up in the American prison system c. the environment, and mistreated, or d. (insert helpless situation here). This song embodies why I love System of a Down. And Spiders was on their self-titled, dumbass. |
