Bob Dylan – Queen Jane Approximately Lyrics

yeah, patobrien nailed it, it's fairly obvious that it's about Joan Baez especially considering she and bob dylan were considered the "royalty" of the folk scene. |

Hüsker Dü – Pink Turns to Blue Lyrics

I think this is missing some lyrics, mainly the last verse. it goes like this I think:
no more open
too much dope
she's lying on the bed
angels pacing
gently placing roses around her head
then hit that chorus up like a bitch again. |

Engine Down – Songbird Lyrics

Faked you out
You're not aloud
To point that finger
It's actually
Faked you out
You're not allowed
To point that finger
Seriously, pay attention to what it means in context. |

I can't believe such an obvious lyric is misquoted. It's The Frenzied pace of the mind inside the cell.
How could anybody get "inside to sell" ? Seriously, were they on crack or something? |

Nirvana – You Know You're Right Lyrics

it's one of the last songs he wrote that they actually recorded in a studio. If courtney stopped thinking she was more important than the people that were actually in the band we'd be able to hear all the demos that were recorded by Kurt. |

This just might be the worst song of ALL time. I'm seriously considering it. Right now it's battling it out with Papa Roach's Last Resort for worst song of all time.
oh and btw, Kurt Cobain was never making music to make money. |

Modest Mouse – Talking Shit About a Pretty Sunset Lyrics

modest mouse at times has reminded me of The Pixies, Built to Spill, and the Velvet Underground. if you do download tracks off kazaa lite, be sure to get Cowboy Dan, Neverending Math Equation, Heart Cooks Brain, and Gravity Rides Everything. if you're the sort to buy albums start with Lonesome Crowded West and then move onto The Moon and Antarctica. Building Something Out of Nothing is a good way to get aquainted with their earlier stuff. |

The Clash – Lost in the Supermarket Lyrics

I think this song was commenting on commercialism. with the lines "I've got my giant hit discoteque album" and "I can no longer shop happily" he seems to be unhappy with how commercial everything seems. but then it also has a strong theme of loneliness. great song no matter how you look at it! |

Radiohead – Idioteque Lyrics

it fits better within the concept of the album which is the first human clone...the clone is in a mental institute (hence the chorus, "here I'm allowed anything all the time") and he's seeing fighting breaking out over the creation of the clones... "the first of children" prolly refers to a clone of the first clone... |

Radiohead – Climbing Up the Walls Lyrics

This song is obviously Thom singing from the point of view of a murder..."either way you turn, i'll be there" tells the victicm that there is no escaping...a truly scary song... |
